http://www.ncaa.org/wps/wcm/connect...3/july/ncaa+will+not+renew+ea+sports+contract It appears that the NCAA is not renewing it's contract with EA, meaning this year's NCAA will likely be the last one for some time. I believe EA will still be releasing a college football game, however, just not under the NCAA logo.
Hopefully this means the NCAA will grant the license to multiple non-EA publishers and we'll have some decent competition in sports gaming for once.
That's fine with me, so long as there are other college football games that can use the same teams and players. Hilarious how this is only happening because of a lawsuit, though.
Can be others, but likely won't be. I'd be interested to see what the Sony studio behind the Show could do with a college game.
Still need the big boy conferences lol. Funny because I was building the Army football program and was accepted into the SEC. It really is more fun to start small. Recruiting is a pain though. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk HD
College Hoops 2k8 was an incredible hoops game. I still play NFL 2k5 here, so any new 2k football game would be right up my alley.
I wonder, is this in preparation for the NCAA to take the blame in the lawsuit? They can try and shield EA by accepting financial responsibility and then dissolve as a legal entity/organization? This seperation from EA would seem to be a necessary first step. In any event, competition is a good thing. I miss my 2K Football -even as Madden looks to be nearly a decent game (after all these years).
I love the features of the game, but I strongly prefer the gameplay engine of the new NBA2k games. If they could put the 2k13 engine into CH2k8 I'd be a happy camper.
Agreed but gotta take what's available. Does anyone know why college bball games stopped being made? I never looked into it. Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
Apparently when they were released they just didn't sell well. Sales spiked during March Madness but it just wasn't enough unfortunately.
agree'd. 2k8 was amazing but after playing nba 2k games you can't go back to it, its not fluid at all.
I didn't wanna create a new thread for this but my friends' song "Sidelines" was featured in the latest Madden trailer. I would help them shoot stuff for their music while I was in college and it's nice to finally see them getting recognition.
