Need Miami (city of) help

Guys (and Gals)

My family and I are going on a cruise in November leaving out of Port of Miami. We are flying into Ft. Lauderdale (tickets were much cheaper). How much wil it cost 5 of us to get to POM and can anyone recommend a decent (clean and relatively cheap) place to stay near POM? Thanks.
