I thought about posting this as "Anonymous" to spice things up a bit but since NetFlix isn't that sexy like kinky office sex etc. I thought I'd skip that whole process. :D

Anyway this question is in regards to streaming NetFlix to your TV. I have both a PS3 and 360 but I can't decide which one to stream to since I believe with the cheap $9 Netflix package you can only stream to one location. I've heard positives about both such as the PS3 having BD-Live support and the 360 allowing you to update your Queue without a PC but still I'm not sure which to go with and would like some advice.

I thought about posting this in the Gaming Forum but since it's a question I thought it would be best to do it here. I know quite a few people on here do this so maybe someone can help.

You can definitely add to your queue from the xbox. Also you can select from a few hundred movies not in your queue. Also if you didn't know you can view the same movies from a PC.

You can browse through titles to add to your queue with the PS3, but I don't beleive you can search for specific titles.

It was a no-brainer for me, since I don't have an XBox.

You can stream with both but not at the same time... but for ps3 you need a netflix disc because i use my 360 to stream, but over break used my brothers ps3 and that worked... Just had to get a free PS3 Netflix disc that you can get on their site

but if you were going to pick one id say the 360. I liked the interface better and the not having a netflix disc inorder to use it is a plus

And soon, you won't even need the PS3 streaming disc.

Well the disc doesn't bother me but the difference for me may be that you have to add to your Queue with a PC if you are using the PS3 but you can just add to your Queue while your using the 360 with the 360.

Strangely enough the disc is why I am considering the PS3 because of the BD-Live capabilities.

I wonder if Netflix lets you switch your one streaming source or do they lock you into one. In other words could I use the 360 and the PS3 as streaming devices but not at the same time or will Netflix lock me in to being able to only use the 360 or PS3 at any time. I understand I can't use the PS3 and 360 at the same time for streaming but my question is if I can use them both just at separate times.

I hope that last paragraph made sense.

netflix gives you 6 places you can stream... so i can watch from my pc, my friends pc, my xbox and ps3 ect...if all 6 are activated all you need to do is deactivate one and add another... For instance... i want to stream from my PS3 but it says i exceeded my limit of activations, it then tells me which one i want to deactivate and you deactivate that

Has anyone tried this wireless? I was thinking of using it for my PS3 but my network at the house is wireless. Is there a lag or streaming issue for the PS3?

    Thanks!

Just so you guys know, Netflix is negotiating with Time Warner to add some of their titles to their online distribution. In the agreement to do so, Netflix promised to no longer make any title available until it has already been available in video stores and retail outlets for 30 days. If you're using the service mainly to view content being released right away...it's time to cancel.

Between the already long waits for new releases and now an additional thirty day delay...it could be six months before you get to view a popular title. Try Graboid or a torrent instead...there's no reason to wait that long.

I think more titles available for streaming is a decent trade-off. I can't remember the last time I watched a movie within 28 days of its release to video without buying it. Watching brand-new-to-video movies has never been an appeal of Netflix to me; rather, I subscribe because of the vast Blu-Ray selection, unlimited rental time, streaming capability and excellent customer service -- none of which is impacted by this agreement.

I stream through a wireless network with no problems at all.

Also, word to the wise those disks do, for whatever reason, go bad. You can go back to netflix and order another disk so you have it when the first one goes south.
