Don't stop by much, but enjoy when I do.....so blow it up...get a new GM and coach together...don't make the mistake you made last time...hire Dan Campbell..........

and this years QB draft is terrible......so give the new coach a year with RT17 to clear any questions up once and for all and give the new coach a hall pass for a year...this team is a disaster.....wait for Tua, Fromm or Eason and pass on reaches like Stidham or Patterson...don't get fooled by Herbert, and don't lock in on Grier early.....

I will leave now, enjoy...good to "see" some of the old gang.................

Why would Pat's fans want us to blow this up? Pat's fans should want us to keep this regime in place forever.

At this point, why do you bother to even watch/care about the Dolphins? I'm being genuinely serious here. It seems like you get a lot of pleasure out of being as negative and condescending as possible. Is there a reason why your opinions are so destructive? Is there some reason why it makes you feel better to wallow in your perceived shared pity?

It's one thing to have an opinion, but it's another thing to come on here day after day screaming as loud as you can that everything is bad, nothing is good, and the only solution is to destroy everything. You come off as one of those kids who tortures animals for fun because there's something broken inside you're trying to fix. Either you're going through some hard time right now and you need to make everyone else feel as bad as you do, or you genuinely are a Patriots fan trying to rile everyone up. You might want to consider why you take such pleasure from the complete destruction of something, as all of your posts have an apocalyptic vibe.

Again, you're welcome to your opinion, as is everyone...but when your opinion is nothing more than hate, destruction and pity there might be something deeper going on and coming to this board looking for others to share in that may not be the best solution.

Fame, I think alot of us have some silly need to voice our opinions on the franchises we support and follow. It's kinda helpful to get it out. A forum about the Dolphins tends to get posts about the Dolphins. *****ing and Moaning about our team on the Daily Financial forums doesn't work as good. We want to have others hear us and feel our pain. This isn't a joke. Sitting here constantly posting positive things about this team is frustrating because your constantly overlooking the issues.

Maybe it would be a good idea for the Mods to make a Forum for Teams *****ing and keep the Dolphins posts news related?
That way those who don't want to hear the negativity can stay out of those forums?

I know I need a place to ***** and moan or I'd need to up my medicine!

All I see from you is an attempt to silence dissenting voices using ad hominem fallacies. I don't know why you bother coming to a messageboard with people who's opinions may differ from yours. I appreciate that you want this to be a safe space for you to find peace and hope, however believing your opinion is superior to others is the root of your problem. You cannot impose your opinion by sheer volume of posts and your arguments are unconvincing, fallacious, or both.

Coaches need to adjust and they need to adjust now. I'm not interested in blowing up the team, but I'm all for heating up the seat under these guys.

I have seen some promising things with Gase, but I have also seen some very frustrating things. Getting embarrassed on our Prime time games and giving up about 200 yds rushing a game for the past 3 games fall into the frustrating things.

Injuries suck, and we have been hit hard, but you have to go out and put a competitive game plan together even when you are down a ton of starters. I haven't been impressed with what I have seen thus far, it feels like we are constantly running into brick walls. Our scripted plays need to be better, our adjustments need to be better, our approach just needs to be better. Maybe it is time for Gase to turn over play calling to someone else.

I totally agree with you actually. I get the venting. I don't think the Dolphins are perfect. I complain about things all the time and I'm certainly not all sunshine and roses when the Dolphins are playing. I've gone through plenty of TV remotes over the years. So I get the venting. I do.

I honestly wasn't attacking the guy, but the difference is even when I'm pissed on game day I wake up on Monday and things are back in perspective. Life is somewhat back to normal. Anyone carrying that anger or betrayal constantly through multiple weeks isn't doing themselves any favors. It's not healthy to constantly scream from the rooftops that everything is bad and it needs to be torn down. Every once in a while it's better to take a break from something.

Sometimes people just need to hear that holding those thoughts for long periods of time isn't healthy, and even though I disagree with people on this board all the time, I don't wish bad on anyone. Venting is one thing...but non-stop hammering one thought over and over and looking for acknowledgement is something totally different.

I'm pretty sure if I started 20 threads all about the same topic I'd be asked to STFU. I wasn't trying to bash the guy or silence him. I was trying to point out that he's hammering the same point over and over in every thread, in every post and he genuinely seems very, very angry. Sometimes people who are that angry need someone to point it out. We all need a reset every now and then. I'd rather look like an a-hole and be wrong than not say anything at all and be right after it's too late.

Honestly I think there should be much more blame being thrown at Mike Tannenbaum's direction. The roster is not the talented in my opinion and this is the same guy that tanked the Jets into many losing seasons/cap hell. I don't believe he is the right guy putting players on the field for any team much less ours.

What other reasons would Miami Dolphins fans come to a Miami Dolphins forum? I'm sorry but if you're rooting for the team to lose then you no longer qualify as a fan. And when you have 20+ posts all saying "Fire everyone...let's take the nuclear option", you've thrown all objectivity right out the window. And I get it, the team is struggling right now, but it's simply too easy to ignore what's actually happening on the field and just say "let's start over". We've done that four times now this past decade and have absolutely nothing to show for it.

It's naive to expect a different result doing the exact same thing a 5th time...especially since it means 2019 and 2020 will suck and the same people will be screaming for a new administration in 2021. That's the definition of insanity....you can't just keep doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a completely different result.

Maybe you should read the words someone is posting before making things up. You're accusing Fame of the exact thing they said to someone else...only you're being a jerk about it where he/she wasn't. It is disturbing when all someone posts is doom and gloom and Fame was trying to have a real conversation with them about it.

Again though, Fame's posts are pretty objective and you're trolling suggests otherwise- maybe take two seconds to look before attacking someone and making things about them up.

Thanks for stating that I am entitled to my opinion. You are as well. You aren't entitled to your facts, however.

My opinions aren't destructive...they are irrelevant--as are yours. To think otherwise is narcissistic and comical. As for as "hate...and pity"...LOL. I don't even know how to respond to that. The Fins are a very small part of my life. They are entertainment. That's all. Right now, they are bad entertainment. But who cares.

For you to extrapolate me "taking pleasure in complete destruction and apocalyptic"...Seriously? You are taking this WAY too personal and far too serious. Lighten up, Francis. LOL...I don't take my opinion nearly as seriously as you seem to. You have actually analyzed the "vibe" of "all my posts". Wow. I am not near worthy of that attention.

I am some stiff in Tampa that knows very little about coaching, analyzing film, and the other aspects of football. I just know enough about the Fins, after being a fan since the 70s to know they suck...AGAIN. Like I thought they probably would, but hoped like hell they wouldn't.

I don't visit this board everyday. I certainly don't post everyday. And my opinion isn't about "everything" on the Fins. Its about the product they put on the field. If you think its something other than bad, fine. State it and defend it. I disagree...and just about every Sunday since week 3, the Fins have proved me right.

They are what I say they are. Not because i say it, but they are horrible none the less. I am probably wrong (and freely admit it many times on this board) about the reasons they suck (I know nothing about schemes, or angles, or personnel groupings, etc,etc)...I just know the Fins play, the look horrible, they lose.

I can assure you I am no Patriots fan (I can imagine my wife ROFL hysterically at that)--and things are going great for me personally. This economy is AMAZING for me (never better, seriously). But thanks for your concern.

The reason I can be critical is because I don't think my opinion does, nor should, have an affect on anyone else. That it has affected you so viscerally, maybe there is something wrong WITH YOU. Life is too short to dance with ugly people. Don't let other people's opinions affect you. If I did, I might be the lunatic you described above, and show the tendencies that you are displaying.

I want the Fins to win every game, every year. For the past 15 years, they lose way more than they win. Whatever...it is what it is.

I still plan on watching the game against the Jets tomorrow, but I am actually trying to think of something good about the Dolphins other than Fitzpatrick. Is there a player or position group that is excelling right now that we can sort of hang our hat on? I know the coaches and players are doing the best they can and are all working hard, but really there isn't anything to get excited about. Although, I was happy to hear that Burke threw his tablet down in frustration during the game, and at the presser this week said something like, our guys, at some point, need to learn something, or to that effect. It kind of shows me there is a little life and fight in the guy.

    I'm 45- born back in 1973.

As far as my opinion goes, I realized a long time ago that you gain NOTHING in life from negativity. It's a complete waste of time and puts people in an angry, bitter mindset...often times over something they have absolutely no control over. Miami is missing a ton of key starters- it sucks that the team is horrible right now. But the idea of firing everyone and expecting us to magically win the Super Bowl next year off of draft picks is absolute insanity. You know if we blow it up we'll suck next year and the year after....and isn't that EXACTLY where we are right now?

I just can't see that logic UNLESS you have a proven winning coach picking his coordinators, his QB and has a great relationship with the front office. We already know RT or OZ is the starter next season though unless we bring in some aging vet for a few years, so again... where's the upside? How do we avoid being in this EXACT same position in 2021 under a new coach/QB combo when there's no huge QB names coming out of college next year?

I get that you're upset over the season, but there's no way we should start firing people without a better coach than Gase and a starting QB already lined up.

I honestly hope Gase pans out. Im tired of coaching searches. We have had about a million since Shula retired. Sparano and Philbin both had to go, they are/were positional coaches at best.

I know Gase is going to have another 2 years here before Ross will have no choice. So i hope he pans out.

I will say tho Mike Zimmer was on the top of my list at one point.. and i also had mike shula on my list, not because of his father but because of what he did for Cam newton on his MVP year.

Wow. 45. Ok, so we are close in age (I'm a little older).

What you see as "negativity", I see as the road to recovery. I don't think its negative to fire an inept coach...I think its foolish not to do so...esp just because you fired a guy three years ago. You never know what you are going to get in a first time HC...you do have a clue what you are going to get after three years.

Also, I don't buy this if we "blow it up, we'll suck next year and the year after"...look at the Rams. When was McVay hired? Did they suck for two years? The Dolphins have sucked so bad, they've made you "Negative" and you don't even realize it. You have been bashed into thinking we have to keep these losers because if not, we'll suck. Just like now.

IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE THIS WAY. Coaches now turn things around in two seasons. Step One...hire the right HC. Step Two...get a QB. There are too many examples to even mention of teams not sucking for two years when they hire a HC.

This team is horrible. You yourself admitted it. Having fans point it out in crass ways isn't fun. I get it. But don't spend another minute with the wrong coaches when you know they are the wrong coaches.

One of the qualities of fans that I don't have(thankfully, or not) is blind loyalty. I am objective in my view of this team.

We have people on this board that take much more issue with me than they do with the Fins. ROFLMAO!?!?!? Like its my fault. Or like I shouldn't comment on it. Shouldn't comment on a message board. It's absurdity.

This team can be fixed. It just can't be fixed with Gase leading it or Tannehill QBing it. But, if we need to see a few more years to prevent from doing the inevitable now, Ok. Fine.

Your view seems to be "Let's go ahead and suck next year and the year after WITH Gase to avoid sucking next year and the year after WITHOUT him." That's far MORE NEGATIVE than I will ever be.

Yeah, me too. There is an old, old song by some guys called "The Everly Brothers" that my parents listened to...its called. Dream. One of the lines is "All I have to do is dream....dream, dream, dream." Its sort of where we are with Gase and RT. Let's dream of getting better with them, or face the reality and start trying to get better without them.

But, if Gase is the HC and RT is the QB, I'll be right there with you...HOPING (dreaming) that we will be better. Knowing at some point I'll be forced to admit, "The Dolphins are what I thought they were."

Like I said, my view comes down to- You want to fire Gase? Sure, I'm all for it as long as we get a better coach. But who do we have on staff that can evaluate coaches? Isn't that how we went through Sparano, Bowles, Philbin, Campbell and now Gase? That's 5 coaches in a seven year span folks- I have zero faith that Ross can pick anyone better than Gase at this point.

But okay, let's say we fire Gase and the next guy is better. Who's his QB? There's nobody better than RT in the 2019 draft in terms of starting in 2019. By then our defense will be healthy and we'll add a few more DL pieces, so that will make us competitive. Wilson will also heal up, we'll trade away Parker/Drake to get some extra draft picks and maybe we even shop Tannehill since he's not a huge upgrade over Oz. So let's say we figure out how to get 4 extra picks in the first 3-4 rounds. That gets us a lineman, a corner, a RB and maybe a QB prospect. Now we have to go QB in the first round though and we likely go WR in the 2nd.....are we a better team at this point? I honestly don't think so unless we luck out on a generational-type QB (or if Fales is that generational QB).

The only saving grace for this team is RT figuring out the pocket or Fales turning into a future stud. And honestly, I want Adam Gase working with those two over just about anyone out there.

Here's where you and I differ though- I could care less that we're 4-4. My only focus today is playing the Jets and stomping their asses. If we win, then awesome....we're one step closer to getting people back and making the playoffs. If we lose, I'll pout for a few days but be ready for GB by Tuesday with the same rosy outlook. To, me, it's not about winning the Super Bowl or even making the playoffs. That would be awesome, don't get me wrong here, but a great game on any given Sunday is all we can ask for as fans.

I'm not sold on Tannehill ever making that evolution Gase expects...he can't feel pressure and I don't think there's any fix for that outside of having the best OL in the league. I'm not sold on Osweiler simply because he can't complete the deep ball on a team packed with speedy talent. I do think he's more likely to evolve into that franchise QB than RT (even tho Tannehill is WAY MORE talented overall), but he's going to take years to get there if he does at all.

So I'm all for firing Gase, RT or anyone else you want to name....but you HAVE TO show me how we're going to get the next Shula in 2019. That's a rarity in itself. Heck, so did Belichek and several HOF coaches struggled early in their careers. That's why I honestly don't think we can do any better than Gase at this point...he's 11-7 total with Tannehill starting and we lost 4 of the first 5 games in 2016.

Like I said earlier, I completely get your negativity over this team and the past 2 seasons. Just don't forget how good we looked the first three weeks with our full first team on the field....or how well we played in 2016 with limited talent. Because here's the thing- we basically gambled the entire 2017 season on a last-minute decision being forced to bring in Cutler...that's not solely on Gase's coaching though. We've been tortured by injuries for two seasons now and it is what it is. It sucks, but it's very hard to win with a 2nd string QB.

Without the massive key injures, we're likely a 6-2 or 7-1 club right now. There is a lot to still figure out and we're going to have a few more ugly games in the next month, but I think the season record should be what determines Gase's future in Miami. And I'll say it once more, it is senseless to fire Gase if you don't have a better candidate. Gruden is one of the top coaching minds in the league and that's not working out- Gase is out-performing him. We can say the same about Bowles and McDermott in the AFC East...all these teams are healthier than us with a worse record.

I just can't see blowing anything up and starting over when we're 4-4 and missing almost half the team's key starters. 8-8 will be an awesome season for Miami under those circumstances. I think the only way we fire Gase is if we're 6-10 or worse come January.

Shula started off with 13 consecutive winning seasons before having a single losing season.

And if you go through this list and only look at Hall of Fame coaches (marked with a +)
    https://www.pro-football-reference.com/coaches/

you'll see that most started their winning streak by year 2! There are even some that never had a losing season (Allen, Madden, Lombardi). In general HoF coaches show it fairly early. Landry is the one big exception for current HoF coaches with 6 losing seasons before the winning streak, and Belichick will end up as another exception with 1 winning season in first 6 before the winning streak.

Oh, and Tannehill is 11-7 with Gase:

I’m a big Dan Campbell fan..

If we do go in a different direction, he and Rizzi are on my list.

I mean, the issue with this team is depth. You keep Gase, keep your current players, and try to get some more pieces and better depth next season.
