Same. I'm more of a hip hop/reggae/r&b head, although I like Linkin' Park.

I immediately downloaded all of Coldplay's albums, and I'm officially a fan.

 

im listening to the new cd now, i love Fix You by them, my favorite song from them. That song got me hooked on them. I saw the new commercial and loved the song. My favorite song on the Album is Violet Hill, then Viva la Vida, Lost acoustic version is great. Their whole CD is just great.

 

Been a fan of Coldplay even though they sound whiney.

they gonna be our generation Oldies band. Like when we are old and have children, they will listen to coldplay on the Oldies but Goodies station.... that is my prediction

 

I can't get into them. not at all. im not a fan of that whole... "quiet/mellow rock" kind of thing. I dont like the crazy heavy stuff filled with screaming either, but.. these guys are just too whiney.... one song sounds like the next... theyre just a "pop" "band"... they bore me.

Right on but its more mood music for me. Its easy to listen to.

I think Speed of Sound is my favorite song of ColdPlay.

I like coldplay most of the times but there are days I cant listen to them. I could see where people say they sound whiney. They have some really good songs though that I like: Green Eyes, Yellow, Crest of Waves, Speed of Sound. By the way Fix You was an old song that they put on the new cd. they have played that at concerts before and it was on a previous album.

And ya, Linkin Park is pretty good.

 

I love the Engish pop scene.

I think Viva La Vida is a good song and this is someone who cant stand Coldplay's older stuff.

 

They're a good band. I liked most of their hit singles and I liked the free Violet Hill download.
