While I say yes they arent who they were....they arent done.....they have 3--2nd round picks on top of their 1st this year.....4 picks in the top 60 goes a long way in rebuilding your defense...

However, I'll eat my crow when/if they can beat Baltimore or Pittsburgh in the playoffs.

Whether or not they lose in the playoffs is irrelevant to me. That's a 1-off and anything can happen. Assuming they stay the course, if any of those three teams knocks them off in the playoffs, it's an upset IMO. Not the other way around.
They are the best team in the league right now.

Roman529New MemberThere is no team in the NFL that is dominant and unbeatable. I still remember how Peyton Hillis dragged the Pat's defenders around a couple weeks ago, but we totally shut down Hillis but somehow found a way to lose. Things change greatly from week to week.

Another great regular season followed by a playoff disaster. The Pats are certainly not DONE, but they won their last Superbowl 7 years ago and it don't look like their blueprint of winning with role players instead of star players works very good in the playoffs.

They were young and struggled on third down defensively. I think they will be fine. The Jets out played them yesterday.
padre31Luxury BoxNo downfield speed to speak of, the Jets handled them perfectly as their only 30yd plus play went to a Te, their Wr's do not scare anyone and nor should they..the Pats forgot the lesson of the pre Randy Moss days, if you cannot stretch the field and your opponent tackles well, your offense is stuck.

I don't think a speed guy was going to help them much yesterday. The Jets covered them like glue with pattern reading, which I mentioned in Club Level.
