They don't care about the players. It is a monetary issue. They don't want to pay for retired players with injuries as is, and they def. don't want to pay the law suits that will follow if a coach forced a player to play with a concussion (last sevarl year's implementations with whistle blowings, more stringent policies and procedures by the medical staff if a concussion was suffered), etc. But, that didn't prevent concussions, these rules do. This is them looking out for their behind, even more. I say even more because they already neglect past players with injuries with piss poor coverage plans etc. Why pay didly shhh when you don't have to pay at all. #$%^ the NFL, but at the end of the day it is better for the players' health so, who are we to judge.
