i reminded myself why i dont buy madden anymore when i picked it up for the Xbone, granted it looks great, the animations are great, but the game play is horrid, IMO.

If I use the instant on feature, I cannot watch TV through my xbox. I have to set it to power saver, which means I cannot say "Xbox turn on". I have to turn on the unit manually and then it takes about 90 seconds for all my other components to turn on. But at least I can watch TV through the xbox that way. This seems to be a fairly common problem that has yet to be patched.
I saw Madden on the XBox 1 (can only assume the same for PS4) and I was watching this dude playing against Carolina..... It was horrible, Cam Newton looked like JaMarcus Russell....
Chase. Closing in 3 weeks? More like I was supposed to close 3 weeks ago (really only two). I technically started my application on around Nov. 7th, and amended it on Nov. 15th. There's been two instances now of 10 calender days with no progress. I've missed closing twice, and tomorrow will be a 3rd. I'm just hoping the seller agrees to another extension or I am uber ****ed.
I don't mind hitting the button. The 90 second wait for everything to turn on is annoying, especially when instant on is an option that I can't use. It *should* work and it doesn't.
I'm sure it will be fixed and you'll be just fine. Mine works fine in instant on but it wont shut the receiver off when I tell it to shut off. Sometimes when I have the tv already on I forget about the xbox one sending out the signal and it turns it off. Then I have to use the remote to turn it back on and my hand gets tired. I stood on line all night, in the rain, for my launch day 360. The Xbox One delivered on launch day. So much easier And I really so love it. Can't wait for some new games to release. And HBO Go.

How do you differentiate between sleep off and fully power off? Most of the time when I say xbox off it just keeps thinking I'm saying pause and I end up having to just press the button. Most of the time it starts up quickly but once or twice it does the full start up.
And one week later, mine kinect went **** up as well. It just powered down and it won't come back on. I followed all the online troubleshooting to no avail. It is Xbox Done. I registered my console and requested a new kinect. It claims it will be here in a week. I'm pissed.
I skipped both consoles for now. Invested $1400 cdn into a new gaming PC and hooked it up to my TV. Working thru AC4 now.
I bought it more as an all in one entertainment device. I watch movies (Netflix, Amazon Instant Video, Xbox Movies) and listen to music through it more than I game. When more games come out that might change.
I'd tell you to aim away from the Kinect, but I know you like it right in the face. By the way, did you ever get your neck looked at? Only the special few can suck their own dick!

Apparently Microsoft doesn't let you do two advanced exchanges at once, which is ******ed since they charge you full price to send you just the console for exchange. So I have to wait until they get my bad console back before I can get a replacement for my bad Kinect. ******ed. Also, if I fail to send in just my bad console, I get charged full MSRP of the ENTIRE package despite them withholding ~$200 worth of goods. Again, ******ed.
Yeah almost had to exchange mine as well. After it was working fine for 6 days, I went to turn it on and it would turn off almost immediately. After all the troubleshooting they said I had to send it back or they would send me a new one with a hold on my credit card, so I was pissed. But since I purchased it at Best Buy I called them and it was less then 15 days since I bought it so I was able to exchange it at the store. Ended up getting the day one edition.
So the people that own and are playing, what are your thoughts? Just from what I'm hearing and seeing on both consoles (Xboxone and ps4) this looks like it's the least advancement ever from one generation of consoles to the next not counting Gamecube to Wii, of course. I'm sticking to old generation and PC for now. I think eventually I'll be forced into this but not till there are some noteworthy games.
I'm playing Assassin's Creed right now and it looks amazing on the Xbox One. But it is not an XB1 exclusive, so that's probably not what you are looking for. For me, the things that stand out are being able to switch from game to tv and back with a simple voice command. Or pausing tv with a command. Or raising, lowering and muting the volume by voice command. As a media unit, the XB1 is outstanding. There is a ton of untapped gaming potential in it. Look at the first Xbox 360 games compared to the latest ones. It takes developers time to learn how to get the most out of the hardware. When they hit that point with the new consoles, the games will look a ton better than the best looking last Gen games. I hope
So I caved and bought Titan Fall but when I went home to play it my xbox wouldn't read the disc. So I tried different games, troubleshooted it, etc and to no avail they are sending me a new one. F'n great, this is gonna be my 3rd xbox one since I bought it in December. And to top it off I can't put an extended warranty on it since its been 45 days since I purchased it, worst luck.
