I'm curious as to how short Fitz's leash is.
The OL looked quite solid. I do not think that putting Tua behind that line poses any threats to his safety. We are going up a cluster of stronger defenses in the near future, so that is worth taking into consideration.
Fitz's arm looked dead, and it is hard to see the value in keeping him in if he is throwing INTS. Perhaps, Parker being out for extended time could prolong his debut.resnor likes this. -

I dont think Fitz arm looked dead so much as his brain on that second interception. His arm was fine, his decision making was questionable at best. -

Either way, Tua has a weaker arm than Fitz so I dont really see how that would help.canesz06 likes this. -
With Tua or without Tua, this team is going nowhere this season. -

Personally I think this entire QB class is going to be one of the worst in recent memory when all is said and done. -
Here is the thing. I have a really hard time believing that is the case. He seems like a pretty intelligent kid. Is he behind Fitz, a Harvard man with an entire career behind him, probably not. But let's be serious, I don't know if Tua will ever be smarter than Fitz. That being said, I don't think Tua is gonna the guy who will have a lot of 3 INT games in his career. He is a highly accurate passer with great anticipation. I think he will certainly have bad games, but not in the sense that he turns the ball over a ton. On the other hand, that is Fitzpatrick's MO. Things will go great for him for extended periods of time, but then he starts turning the ball over.
This is where it might be better to deviate slightly from the developmental plan for Tua. There probably comes a time that a bad Tua game is better than a bad Fitzmagic game. We are also sorta struggling at WR, and having a more athletic QB could add a much needed dynamic to the team.
Remember back to the Herbert/Tua argument. Personality really mattered. I wanted Herbert, but I concede that Tua has better leadership/character. I do not think that if he struggles early, it is going to ruin his career or anything. I think he is very mature and can deal with struggles probably better than many rookies that we have seen recently.
If Fitz struggles again, I would be open to starting this party sooner rather than later. -
Not sure what you mean by sample size. These guys played in college you know. -
Have you watched Tua play college football? Do you really want to argue that his accuracy, pocket awareness and overall demeanor in the pocket makes him a sure fire bust?
