A few weeks ago the GM of the Washington Redskins compared playing in the NFC East conference to playing in the SEC. He obviously felt that the only way these teams would lose games was by beating up on one another like the best teams in the SEC tend to do each year.

After the results today. It would appear that the real SEC in the NFL resides in the AFC West conference. Especially after the NFC East teams played three games against the AFC West teams and lost every one of these games. The Redskins were also pounded by the Green Bay Packers, from the NFC Central division. So this suppose NFL power house division was 0-4 today. I don't remember ever seeing the top teams in the SEC all lose to opponents from other conferences on the same day.

I think instead of comparing the teams in the NFC East to the SEC. A comparison of the NFC East teams playing in the MAC conference would be a more realistic comparison. The fact is the NFC East division is probably the most overrated division in the entire NFL.
