Hearing a lot of good nuggets already. I think Eric Fisher and Luke Joeckel both did 27 bench reps. Lane Johnson did 28 bench reps. Hear Jon Cooper did like 35. I hear Matt Barkley came in at like 6'2.5" and 227 lbs with 10 inch hands. Good on him. The WR from Rutgers came in HUGE at 6'3" and 230 lbs with great arm length and hand size. Can you believe it, Nuk Hopkins came in at 6'1" and 214 lbs. That's a big win for him. Stedman Bailey came in at 5'10" and 193 lbs. That's what was expected.
Cordarrelle Patterson came in at 6'1" 216lbs. DJ has to eat something live on webcam now, he didn't think he was more than 205lbs. I can't find the thread, but he said he'd do it. Promise.
Jonathan Hankins must have gone Rex Ryan - weighed in at 317lbs according to the NFL Network scrolling results.
6'1" and some change, didn't quite catch the exact measurement. *Edit: 6'1" and 7/8 maybe. The combine page lists him as 6'2", but has an updated weight of 216lbs. http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/cordarrelle-patterson?id=2540145
That's incorrect, I said there is NO way Cordarelle Patterson is 205 lbs as listed, I said this after watching him in the skills competition..nice try though Ro, but you can't fu&$ with me when it comes to the body..I knew the kid was bigger than listed, he simply looked beastly at those drills in the upper body...only 6'1 though..hmmm
"If CP is 205 lbs I'm a lumberjack.". "Patterson is huge, in a good way...my goodness" What was that RO?...lol..
I'm fine with Patterson being an inch shorter than initially listed (I like that he's at 216 lbs) ...Keenan Allen was measured at 6-2 as well
I said I couldn't find the thread - just remembered the first post. Call it a draw then. Either way, if he's 6'2" and 216lbs, I think that's a pretty nice size for him with the athleticism he possesses. I'm very interested to see how he runs. I hope that he'd still be in consideration at pick 12, and more importantly, that he's still there when Miami's on the clock. Also interested to see what Hankins looks like at 317lbs. OSU's bio had him listed at 322lbs, but I would've pegged him around 340lbs. Easy.
I'm not sure what your talking about Ro, I just found the post in the thread and posted them, how is it a draw when you were unequivocally wrong when you thought you were right, there's no draw brother, love you though. I don't understand when your saying you can't find the thread?, if you want the thread go to the college skills challenge thread in this forum, page 3 or 4..
You got me. I only remembered your first post and hadn't read anything else in that thread there after. I saw the replay of the contest a few nights ago. Not sure I would've pegged him as any more than 210lbs.
Chance Warmack listed at 6'2" and 317lbs. Fellow 'Bama linemate D.J. Fluker checked in at 339lbs. I think that's like 15 or so pounds lighter than he was at the Senior Bowl IIRC (which obviously this thread has proven I may not). *Edit - Warmack's got long arms though at 34 and 3/4 inches. WOW! http://www.nfl.com/combine/story/0a...ack-smaller-than-expected-meet-luke-marquardt
Dude, let it end with honor. Allow both sides their dignity. Even the North afforded the South that honor at Appomatox. Be a gentleman and a scholar, Deej. Then eat your headtowel for us on webcam.
You underestimated DJ's intimate knowledge of the male body. You aren't the first to have been surprised by his zeal and understanding of it. You shall not be the last. By the way, the 6'2" does disappoint me a tad.
Jeremiah called Travis Kelce the best blocking tight end in the Draft "by far". I don't think that's true at all unless you're tossing Levine Toilolo out of the picture.
I was trying to be funny; it's all good from my end. My attempts at sarcasm and humor have been thoroughly shot down today - I blame the ice storm from this morning. Nothing like trying to make a 7:45am meeting only to spend 15 minutes scraping ice off your car for a 5 minute drive to the office. No umbrage with DJ whatsoever. Maybe I can redeem myself somewhat for using the word "umbrage" properly.
I've been watching NFLN and checking here periodically. http://www.nfl.com/combine/tracker NFLN had some results scrolling earlier.
He sure is. Very impressive. Think he'd fit Miami's scheme? Not sure they'd be more apt to draft him or Cooper, but curious nonetheless.
Now I can't get that Jeremiah was a bullfrog song out of my head. And if I had a nickel for every time someone had tossed Levine Toilolo out of the picture... Well.
Actually he gets an incomplete. Same as Khaled Holmes. They both aborted because they strained their pec during the lift. They'll re-do at pro day.
Love this quote from Cordarrelle Patterson, on his three biggest strengths: "Speed, catching and scoring". LOL.
D.C. Jefferson the tight end also thinks he strained a pec during his lift. He only did 3 reps before aborting. Based on what I've seen of Brian Winters I would be VERY surprised if 9 is about all he could do.
Agreed, think if we will roll the dice on an OL, he would be the guy I'd draft at #12. Move Richie I to RG, or let Warmack intern at RG for a year, either way your team is better with him on it.
Walter Football is claiming that the Dolphins have only met with Lane Johnson. But we know that's not true, because during his press conference Keenan Allen said Joe Philbin drew up a play and had him go over what kind of coverages he might see and how he should adjust to them.
