    Huge hit. Ridiculous fine...

Edit: To add further. The player took multiple steps, Bostic lined up a clean hit in the middle of a play. Not a defensless receiver, he wasnt in mid-air. How can they fine a linebacker for making a big hit because it was "big" ? Thats what its all about. And 21k for a late round pick rookie?! Give me a ****ing break.

I said it before, and I'll say it again, watch for more and more blown out ACLs, dislocated knees, and broken fibulas.....because guys going to start going THAT hard low on a planted leg, and it wont be pretty!

you think ? the camera angle is not that good to really catch that, but the pop you hear is loud, although i thought it came from the shoulder pads

Keep watching the link and they show it from a perpendicular angle. Its easy to see the helmets hit from that view.

It was in the middle of the play, we are creeping into ridiculous territory, he didnt launch at a defensless receiver in mid air, whos to say the receiver didnt duck into the hit?

    No you're not.

I'm not saying it wasn't ticky tack, I was just saying it was helmet to helmet, and that's the reason.

i looked at it again from behind the receiver, his left shoulder is clearly not moving, just his torso gets smashed backwards, i still like the hit though, but it´s clear the helmet hit him first

Helmet to helmet during live action of a play is NOT illegal. They didnt throw a flag. This is a bull**** fine.

Yet, its being highlighted on NFL.com for hits to their website. Oh the irony. The sweet, ****ing irony.

Is that frame though frozen as his head is going forward from the impact of the LB hitting him??

That looked real clean to me....hopefully the vets pick up his fine....

    The flag is irrelevant.

The league is cracking down on helmet to helmet hits and leading with your head down. Two things that happened in the tackle.

They aren't doing it because they are ******* or because they hate football. They are doing it because players are suing them and others are dying or going crazy, because of concussions.

Again, it was ticky tack, but not unexpected.

But its a perfect form tackle, Helmet on the ball arm, hitting with shoulder, wrapping.....its just ridiculous. I understand why they are doing it, I am not living under a rock. But its rather hilarious its not a penalty, and they are highlighting it on their company website, yet they are giving him a fine for it.

It wasn't perfect, because the helmet hit the other helmet before it the ball arm.

The real argument is whether the FACEMASK of the one being tackled is part of the helmet when it comes into contact of the tackler's helmet.

I think they screwed up the rule when they said Facemask is part of the helmet; which it never ever was, until the "helmet to helmet" hit rule included it as such.

Brady is already allowed to play flag football. No one can get within 3 feet of him.

Since when does a guy that took 2+ steps running through a field get considered "defensless" ?!?!?!? Insane.

That is so ticky tack of a fine, 21k for that? The only thing he did wrong was not seeing what he hit. His helmet barely grazed the wr.
Wonder why Swearinger hasn't been fined, maybe because that was a clean hit. Loved D. Shaper on nfln explaining that a DB has to go low on a bigger player.
