EA has announced some of the features for NFL Head Coach 09. So let me get this list straight... - NFL Draft - Live Events - Play Creator Hhhhhmmm... Check, check, and check.... Wait a minute. These were all available on the original NFL Head Coach. It was just execute poorly. So they're gonna market them as new features? Ok, the playbook does sound like it offers more freedom. But the other stuff sounds like fluff. What do you guys think?
great... sounds.. exciting. I miss having custom playbooks and play creators in madden though. I used to love that.
I loved the concept of the original game, the execution was horrible. I think if they tweak the hell out of the game, they'll have a winner. It was really cumbersome before, with the strict guidlines on what you could and could not do and when you could do it.
What Madden should do is scrap Head Coach and beef up the main game, ESPECIALLY the customization aspect. Let people have more choices when creating players or teams. I mean really....has ANYONE ever created a team using the baboon logo? You can link your XBox 360 to your PC, why can't they let you upload your OWN art for helmet logos? And only one color for jersey numerals, and then when it pick that color it automatically becomes the same color on the numbers on the helmet and sleeves? Ridiculous. Also only one color for helmet stripes. And in player create, how about letting us create our own faces instead of selecting from pre-rendered ones? When I get a new Madden one of the first things I like to do is create my own team using all my buds. I'd love to be able to make them look somewhat like who they're supposed to be!
Whatever happened to the gameplans and scouting reports that they had before in madden? I thought that was a nice touch.
head coach is a great concept,just look at football manager for soccer that thing sells like hotcakes, that was executed extremely poorly. It was glitchy, repetitive and they restricted when and how you could do things way too much.
