My RB situation last week was so bad I played BJGE, knowing he wasn't going do ****. I had already told my friends in other leagues not to play their RB against Miami unless they had no other option. Someone may eventually have a good game on us, but I wouldn't want to gamble that the one or two bad games was when my RB was playing.

I don't think Paul Soliai is the dominant factor of the run defense this year. He's playing well, and close to his career best, but so are several other guys.

I'm also of the opinion that this upcoming off-season you try to find a replacement for Soliai who isn't a liability in passing situations.

Personally, the only 2 guys I'd want to replace Soliai with are Ngata or Utah's Star Lotulelei. Ngata's not possible and Lotulelei will likely be long gone by our first round pick.

IMO we're fine with Paul if we can add another quality corner and a situational pass rusher/OLB so that we could rush 5 more often like Houston does with Reed & Barwin.

Soliai and Starks. I don't think there's a pair of DT's playing better then them right now.

Yeah, I still think Ngata is the best pure NT in the game and the only guy I would trade big Paul for.

Sure. Paul Soliai is a very good run defender, by why do you have to settle for a guy who is only useful against the run? Kevin Coyle could get a hell of a lot of mileage out of a 1-technique guy that isn't a liability rushing the passer.

I'm not a huge draft guy, but from what I've read and seen it looks like there are a fair amount of "big" men in the draft who are still quality pass rushers. Finding the next Haloti Ngata or Shaun Rogers would be a coup.

I couldn't pull the trigger on that one Dapte..he's great against the run, and he he can collapse the pocket a bit..

Well, I think that Soliai has become a solid, if not spectacular NT. He'd fit in just about any system. And if they were to look to replace him, given his current status, there would likely be a market for a good 3-4 NT.... That said, I don't know that I'd be looking to replace him, rather if someone called and wanted him, for the right price, I'd consider it...

I agree. Finding an upgrade for Soliai would be far down the list of priorities IMO...like somewhere in the sub basement of the sub basement.

Only way I could see it happening is if Soliai went down and someone like Randal was an even bigger beast.

Otherwise, don't create holes, we have enough already.

Let's worry about TE, WR, CB, or even back up LB before we get to work on upgrading a key cog on a unit that has been the team's greatest strength so far this season.
