What the heck is this? I know all about the arena league, but the NFLN has picked up their games? You gotta be kidding me, I could understand the UFL or CFL, but the Arena League? A Qb for the Barnstormers has a beer gut for pete's sakes..
Eh from what I've seen of the CFL the Arena League is MUCH more entertaining. It's better than the UFL too...just saying.
Not even close, the AFL with the volleyball nets and boards on the sidelines is kinda lame. 3 man Olines?
To each their own. The CFL and UFL are just B and C leagues. The Arena league is it's own game. Which is why it interests me more.
Fair enough, in defense of the CFL it is 3 down football on a 110 yd field with 12 man units on offense and defense and does place players into the NFL and is 100yrs old. 50 yds, 8 man units and volleyball nets just is blasse to me.
I can see the interest in the CFL. Especially during the offseason. Arena League just offers so many explosive plays, and the wall is fun to watch someone try and make a catch over or get slammed into.
Well, to me the wall is there to avoid really crushing hits that happen along the sidelines, I've watched the AFL since...sheesh..Danny White was the AZ rattler's Head Coach which was the late 80's IIRC. To me it is just an odd choice for the NFLN to cover.
I think both have their good qualities and bad qualities. But to say Arena Football is better than the CFL is just wrong, IMO. At least the CFL is real football, just with a few rule tweaks. Arena Football is just a sideshow, and while it is somewhat entertaining, it's not really football at all.
