If the cap comes back, can they afford to pay the two best corners in the league? Probably not. But when you're going all-in for a title this year.....

I would assume Nnamdi would command a king's ransom. Then again, it's Al Davis. So you never know.

    I dont think its possible?

They are arleady busting the Cap. (Of course, the un-cap would make a difference) and they have nothing to offer in return. AFAIK, he is still under contract with the Raiduhs....

What's happening is Nnamdi wants to be a Jet. He talked to both Revis and Ryan about it.

    It's the Raiders.

They gave up a 2011 #1 for a 30-yr old DE in the last year of his contract.

Thomas Jones is still fast. He and a #1 sometime this decade should be enough.

EDIT: Ok, Jones is a FA. Just insert some fast skill player then.

Jets better hope nobody gets hurt.

They've been remarkably healthy the last few years. Would suck if that OL got banged up, or the LB corps took a hit. Or Revis got nicked. Or Jenkins can't make it back.

I'd love to see them give up primo picks for Nnamdi, forgoing young depth and then have depth issues when injuries inevitably occur.

Thats part of the problem. They have already mortgaged the future.
I also Hope to God there is a Cap structure in place. It will absolutely PARALYZE them this next year. That along with no draft picks and no Free Agency....

they talked about it at the pro bowl but scenarios like that are talked about every year. it doesnt mean they play out. i think the rumor is bs. when it shows up on pft then i'll be worried.

I hoped so too, but I will be shocked if there's a cap in 2010. They've got like, a week to get it done? They're not even talking.

I'm convinced they're all in for 2010. As much as they can be anyway.

No he isn't. He signed a 4 year contract on March 5, 2007. He is a FA next year.

Well, folks are worried about Nnamdi going to the Jest, and rightly so.

However look at the larger point, the entire Raiders roster is up for grabs again, guys we can use in Miami like Zach Miller and Morrison and Tommy Kelly, they are there for the deal.

Imho this is more of an opportunity to improve cheaply.

No interest in Tommy Kelly, but I remember the Dolphins were interested in acquiring Zach MIller before the trade deadline. He would look great in a Fins uniform.

I wonder what their asking price for McFadden would be? If cheap, would be perfect for the Wildcat ran it nicely in college, nice insurance for Brown and eventually take Ricky's spot when he retires.

the 23rd is going to wet his pants with happiness when he reads your post
the guy has been screaming mcfadden from the rafters for a while now

me, I'm not totally against the idea even knowing what he didn't achieve in Oakland. running back is not a need right now but hey since you put it that way.
    might work

Sadly...no..McF has #6 money and he is fragile to boot, expensive and injured are the guys we sign as FA, not the one we trade for.

    Err...wait a minute.

I like Tommy Kelly and suspect he will be a cap casualty.

I'm pretty lukewarm to cold on mcfadden. You keep hearing the "perfect fit" term.
    Dont really know his situation.
My guess is what you posted pod
a failed star in Oakland usually means expensive.
