Actually, if you jerk off to porn there's a laundry list of pretty bad side-effects: http://www.suhaibwebb.com/ummah/men/how-watching-pornography-changes-the-brain/ Basically it's awful for your dopamine and anything you do w real women lol I'm going for 90 days.
As a rule, I don't trust anything from a religious site when it has to do with interpreting scientific studies. If there are actual studies in medical journals, I'd accept those, and I'm sure there are. I'm just not acepting this link as proof.
Right on! Btw FinD you missed the circle jerk yesterday. That's strike two. Sent from my LG-MS770 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
On the flip-side [h=1]7 Surprising Benefits of Masturbation http://www.care2.com/greenliving/7-surprising-benefits-of-masturbation.html[/h]
Meh. Not worried. I could get 3 strikes all day and it doesn't matter....you guys can't quit me. And oh yeah, forget the no fap November stuff....spank it like it back sassed your mama.
biggest crock of baloney I've read in a long time. that article reminds me of when a Jehovah's witness came to my house in college (where lived 2 biology majors and a biochemist (me)) and tried to explain to me using science and biochemistry why life couldn't be created without god. They are taking the concept behind dopamine stimulation and warping it with scare tactics by relating it to cocaine addiction. and that last paragraph was complete crap. Does watching porn effect how you perceive women, most likely yes. but your "laundry list of bad side effects" stops there. there have been many more studies that show that ejaculation multiple times per week has much more important side effects (beyond stimulating dopamine levels), it decreases the chances of serious prostate issues down the road. Now since most guys don't have that good of a sex life, I'd say the good of porn outweighs the bad.
Great! just when we started to tolerate you. OR did your wife discover your secret porn file password? slickitupfapitup was not a very strong password dude. If you would of added a number the password would of been stronger, but she probably would of had you there too.
lol I didn't realize that was a religious site. But yea there's a ton of studies linking porn to those same issues. Basically it re-wires your brain.
lol Who am I, maynard? No woman I've ever dated or ever will date will give a **** that I watch porn.
I'm about as far from religious as you can get but there's def more issues involved than how you perceive women. When you jerk off all the time your T levels are lowered. There's plenty of studies that show you get a big spike in T on the 7th day of not wacking it (coincidence it takes 7 days lol). Lots of things decrease your chances of prostate issues and most of them are just having a good diet. Personally I think dumping your life juice over internet girls is just a waste of time.
For no real good reason whatsoever I've tested myself to see how long I could last. After awhile ugly women start looking not so ugly. That kinda weird looking girl at work? An absolute knockout!!!! Cleavage on TV? Better turn the channel. I've found this to be true whether sex with real women is happening or not. The 2 are completely different, and one doesn't satisfy the urge to do the other, at least for me anyway. And if you go long enough, you will have wet dreams again. The body finds a way to get rid of the "poison". I'll say this: For anyone who is having a hard time having sex with real women, do what slick is doing. Your self conscious goes into survival mode when you run around with a loaded cannon. You'll find yourself having no trouble talking to women, making passes, etc. We are animals. The body finds a way to make sex happen. Especially when we don't cheat the system by whackin it.
there is zero evidence to support that T-levels are affected by masturbation. don't believe everything you read on the internet. I'm not arguing the value of wacking off with porn, most of my "prostate exercise" comes from a great sex life with my wife.
This is what I don't understand: - http://www.yourbrainonporn.com/book/export/html/148 Why does that spike occur?
to hell with scientific studies. I wouldn't trust anything from a religious site when it has to do with sex, porn, and masturbation.
so you're saying if there was no porn we guys wouldn't be undressing hot chicks with our eyes and picturing what they look like naked, nor imagining at least one naughty sexual act with 'em?
natural hormone cycles is my guess. maybe getting off causes upregulation of gonadotropin releasing hormone, which allows testosterone to accumulate. but even then, it's not a big spike.
47% is pretty significant. But if you're beating off at least a few times a week does the spike occur? From what I've seen, no. That just makes me wonder.
the science of the effects on masturbation are pretty unclear at the moment. I wouldn't go with either side at the moment.
