Nolan expects Woodson on Bess, which means Hartline has to come through..or..

I have noe doubt in hartline coming trough. He did so in the jets game

Well, the interesting thing here is the rumor about the Dolphins shopping for a Wr as well, if Hartline doesn't come through then that rumor would be much more credible.

We really could use a strong offensive game this time out, the O just is not scoring enough.

I'd like to see Hartline fill in on Punts and Kickoffs, but last practice they had DBess and Carroll on kick offs...maybe they think Bess can handle both Returns and the Slot Wr role?

Wallace should see more playing time at that Sharpe Wr/Te role he just screams mismatch imo.

Our offense has been fine, we were on our way to score plenty last week, we were up and down the field before the INT's in the first half.

I don't feel the love for Wallace like you do.

It is a bad trend NJ, the Offense is not scoring TD's, the Defense is not creating Turnovers and ST is at paste eater levels of production.

On a purely bottom line level all the Offense has working is Beast and Bess, all the Defense has is a lockdown Cb and a top notch passrusher, that is about it.

No one else is producing a darn thing, they are generally doing their jobs, but they are not producing, put it this way, aside from those 4 players, who else has produced consistently?

I don't feel the love for Wallace like you do.

:D I'm the dude who bets on boxcars every roll in craps..if Wallace is what I think he is, we will have a huge piece moving forwards, a move Te who runs like a Wr and is 6'5 and can get downfield.

Why hasn't Fasano been more involved in the passing game? It seemed like two years ago Pennington was looking his way a lot more and finding him for big gains. Now it seems like he disappears for two weeks at a time or something.

We'll see, Wallace is doing the right things, the stuff Sparano normally looks for like playing ST and making the most of limited opportunities.

I'd suspect Marlon Moore is in a tighter spot he had a drop and disappeared since then.

Fasano is more or less a blocker now, 08 was an aberration.

Henning is infamous for not targeting the Te in his offense and Fasano is bearing the brunt of that quirk.

As for Hartline, I cannot get a grasp of his game 4 games into the season, I do think he disappears to often, I also think Henne is not looking for him, why that is Henne's preference or Hartline's lack of seperation, who knows.

Right up until he blew his contain responsibilities and Tate ran for a TD. He's made not a single ST tackle, but other than that, yeah he's looked good on ST. For my $$$ I'd rather have Brandon London at least he'd run down and hit somebody.

Fasano gets a bad rap around these parts IMO. He is an excellent blocker and a solid, if not dynamic receiver. he thrived under Penne b/c Penne is a serial check down artist who looks downfield primarily to create room for his underneath throws. Henne plays more conventionally, looking outside and deep then coming off to his short targets.

We are starving for a 3rd WR, a guy like Camarillo (oops) who can beat single coverage on a consistent basis, or a guy like Ginn Jr. who can blow the top off of coverages that are rolled towards Marshall. Hartline isn't getting the job done in either respect, IMO.

They are most likely putting Woodson on Bess because he is are slowest WR

That isn't true of Fasano, he's actually on pace for about 40 receptions.

Hartline struggled through the preseason with a little of a sophmore slump and is taking his time finding his groove. That being said, he'll only get better as the season goes.

I'd love to see Wallace get a few catches too!

All this being said I hope Ronnie carries us this week!

Well, here is the problem, 6 TD's in 4 games, Beast being triple covered, and Fasano catching 40 passes means little, it is TD's that matter.

I saw a thread entitled "Dolphins must establish Brandon Marshall".

Which is not very bright as Beast has a gang of receptions, but no one else is making the Defense pay for focusing on Beast, Bess is doing his job of moving the chains, the #2 Wr position has not been productive enough considering they are seeing man to man coverage constantly.

That means if anyone needs to be established, it is Hartline..or Wallace..someone needs to step up as the Offense is suffering the same thing as it did last yr, the 20 yd box around the line of scrimmage is the same as it was last yr..Defenses just treat the O like they are on the 10 yd line because no one is getting behind them.

In my opinion this is probably more the product of still having a fairly green QB in there, and not having 2 reliable TEs. With two reliable TEs for both pass protection and receiving, he wouldn't be needed for the additional blocking.

The blocking by our backs hasn't been awful, but it's been suspect at times. I think they're concerned with getting too much pressure on Henne and losing the sack.

Hartline has 167 yds in receptions from 4 starts, 89 came in one game.

This is with Beast being triple teamed, to me we'd have nothing to lose by plugging Wallace in at times at the #2 Wr slot.

I knew he's been doubled and drawn the safety, but if he's being triple teamed thats 2 less men in coverage on the other receivers. That's really a bad sign if Hartline or Bess can't get open. I'll give Bess a pass if Woodson is on him, but Hartline has absolutely no excuse if over 4/11 of the defense is covering Marshall/Bess.

I think some of that has to do with Chad Henne not making 2nd and 3rd reads, basically if his main read his covered the ball is going out to the check down..period.
