Notre Dame QB Jimmy Clausen punched by fan

More and more, top-echelon athletes are becoming targets for people who would harm them.

From women seeking to seduce, then accuse them of rape, to violent opportunists and fans, top athletes are losing the ability to simply go out and enjoy themselves like anybody else.

 

I heard he was at a bar and insulted a guys GF and the guy went off on him.

 

If he did that than he was asking for it. Hard to believe he would just get punched but stranger things have happened.

 

With all the run ins with Clausen it wouldn't surprise me but Ohio St's Tyler Moeller was suckered punch while in Florida that ended his season. So it is plausible.

 

Not that it matters but incident took place around 2:30 am sunday morning

 

Would bw interesting to hear the REAL story.
BTW: What is he doing out with his family at 2:30 in the AM?

 

Yeah, this story seems to be falling apart. They first say it's a random "south bend restaurant" and then later feel the need to add that "the name of the BAR was CJ's". So it was indeed a bar.

You gotta figure they're sugar-coating the situation by "stretching the truth". Wouldn't want this kid to get into trouble now. ND can't afford it at this point.

I was watching Clausen get interviewed after the game. He has the douche aura around him. Not surprised about this at all.

I think what happened to Clausen is terrible. However, I think this is pretty funny.
