good month for the 360

Disappointing for Sony that they've already fallen behind 360 again, the price cut hype has worn down a little I guess. December could be better though b/c their ads are all over TV and they've got a big HDTV combo deal going with Best Buy right now. We'll see. No surprises in the software sales.

Well I'll just say it...

Wii = God of all video games. I mean outselling the PS3 and 360 combined that is crazy.

Also shocked to see the 360 outselling the PS3. The PS3 had better Black Friday deals and has outsold the 360 steadily since the price drop. Also all reports were usually going Sony's way with Black Friday. Good bounce back for MS. :yes:

i have or have had everyone of the games on that list...cept tony hawk of course.

It is more likely because stores like Best Buy constantly advertises MW2 for XBOX 360 specifically. MS must have payed alot of money to have the game advertised for their system only.

the psn's gotten a lot better in the past year or so, but Live still rules console gaming with an iron first.

If you play COD online obsessively then it only makes sense to go with the online you know has the bigger install base. that's 360.

but there is definitely more marketing behind the game as a 360 title. MW2 was showed off at 360s E3 show, for example. All the ads ive seen are for 360, etc. This isn't new tho. most big 3rd party titles sell more on 360 than ps3.

Especially after Microsoft banned over 1 million modders.

So far in December I've a lot more mw2 for the ps3 sold at my store. Maybe the December numbers will be better for the good ol PS3.

Obviously the ban hammer worked wonders for the 360 hardware sales.

I'm surprised at how many more MW2's were sold on 360 than on PS3. I bought it for PS3 and play it online quite a bit. I'm loving it

Well 360 still has that lead as far units in homes go so that combined with marketing and the 360's fans loving FPS I can understand why 360 blew away the PS3 as far as MW2. The hardware sales are what surprised me though...MS came back in a big way.

From my experience though I thought the MW2 sales would have been closer. It seems everyone on my PSN friend list plays MW2 whereas only a few on Live do. Strange month for sure as far as that goes.

Man I wish that was true for me. Literally half or more of my FR is in MW2 at pretty much all times these days.

Sounds like an IQ test question.

If we assume all the Japanese play MW2 on PS3, and sking29 has friends who play on the PS3, which of these is a logical conclusion:

1) His friends must be japanese
2) His friends are not japanese
3) There is not enough data

Also in reference to dolphan117 I know its very weird. I expected it to be the reverse and was shocked that I've seen more people I know playing MW2 on the PS3. I know when I get on the PS3 it seems that everyone on is playing MW2 but on the 360 people are scattered around playing different games. It especially doesn't make sense when there is basically a 3 to 1 ratio of MW2 players on 360.

I'm not that surprised about MW2. I think it's partially b/c of Live, partially b/c of more 360 consoles out there, and don't understimate that Xbox 360 controller. I love that thing for shooters. I may never buy another shooter for PS3 again unless it's exclusive.

Amen to that controller. I have MW2 on PS3, but that 360 controller is the best controller ever made imo

wait...uncharted went from being #1 in october to not in the top 20 in november?

Man...that's just wrong.
