I really want to give props to myself, hitman , ricky and danmarino as posters. We all were right. We didn't buy into the hype and knew, because of football expertise, what was going to happen here. Looking at the games last night, we lack personnel for sustainable winning. There is no need for patience, hoping a player makes the jump, in year 4 or 7 or 3. Here is the cold truth: Tunsil is a guard, Parker is a 3, we need linemen that can give QBs like Ben time to survey the field and we need a qb for the future. None of you, not one poster, will ever convince me that Ryan Tannehill is the long term answer and will have sustainable elite seasons. One final thing, if we go 6-10, fire the front office and fire Gase. This is a cut-throat league, waiting around for players and coaches to come around will lead you to.....the Cincinnati Bengals.
dude, if you don't know the dolphins by now, then I'm not sure when you will. You're saying you held onto "good luck," or belief? This is football. You have to have better coaches and players to win. We are like the Browns, we feel we can "get away" with certain players and be smarter than the league. The Browns have been trading down in the draft since their mistakes at QB, and instead of drafting a qb until they get it right, believed they could over draft the other positions and just have a plug in at qb. The league doesn't work that way. What did Miami do this offseason that made you believe they wanted to improve upon 10-6? Trading for Thomas? The MacDonald aquisition shows some signs, but overall nothing. What did the Pats do? They won the SB and traded for Cooks and brought in Gilmore. That's what elite teams do. They never are happy with their roster. We have this "la di da la di da" attitude that scheme and experience will help us the next year, not to mention luck. Your qb gets an ACL Injury and you hope no surgery helps? Who thinks that way, collectively? Then even if he has surgery, are comfortable going into the year with Matt Moore after his last two games in 2016? Not one time do they want to push the envelope. Imagine if we had Watson in the house, or a young qb. This season wouldn't have gone to waste if we had developed someone internally for the next year. Instead it's the same old tune, "wait till next year, Ryan Tannehill will save our franchise." Really? You think after watching Tannehill since 2011 he is a franchise-saving qb? You don't go to multiple super bowls with mediocre qb's. 10 of the last 16 Super Bowls were represented by Ben and Brady. Sure you will have a mediocre qb, like Bortles, succeed every once in a while, but Miami fans are at a crossroads, do you want longevity and sustainability or just one season you can cherish? The problem is we have been so bad for so long, most of you would take the 10-6 season from last year and keep hanging your hat on it. The team needs a coach and qb changing paradigm shift. But hey, another 6-10 season, we'll get em next year
playoff run starts today....Thats a quote from our resident genius yesterday. Your ability should be as a comedian and a weatherman. You get laughs but no one takes you seriously. Then you can make predictions, and be incredibly wrong, and come back the next day and make more wrong predictions. How incredibly laughable...or incredibly sad, take your pick
He also forgot the part where he's been wrong more than anyone in the history of football. But hey, if a Cutler meltdown makes him feel smart for a day, more power to him.
I think once you have a track record of making successful predictions you can make a post like this. But predicting the Dolphins won't make the playoffs when the probability of that occurring was less than 10% is hardly reason to claim you "were right and knew what was going to happen".
Hey now! don't include me in this...lol I thought we'd be in the playoffs this year. Even after RT went down I thought there was a chance we'd get in. I was super pumped about beating the Pats last week and thought maybe this was the turn around that happened last season. I think with a healthy RT this team would be in the playoffs this season.
LOL, Sorry Dan, You will be forever be one of the four horseman now! You, Dirty, Hitman and Ricky. No way you can wiggle yourself out of this! Once a horseman, always a horseman.....
Dirty, let's say you're exactly right and the Dolphins do just what you suggest. Tunsil is moved to a guard position. A left tackle is sought. A QB is sought. At least one other lineman is sought. Please can you provide which draft picks you would use for which position and what trades you would make, if any?
