Average starting position of MIA opponents: 28.4 yard line
Average starting position of NY opponents: 26.16 yard line

Bendability Index (Yards Allowed/Total Points Allowed = Yards Per Point Allowed (YPPA). The higher the number, the more difficult a team makes it for opponents to score points.)

    MIA: 1556/112 = 13.89
    NY: 1914/101 = 18.95

    Interesting stuff.

Again, doesn't take into consideration points scored by opposing defenses and special teams.

I've seen the Pack play twice: this past Sunday and the national game against the Bear. Color me totally unimpressed. I think Rogers is going to get hit and hit often. I also think Sanchez will have all day to find Edwards, Holmes, Cotchery and Keller. This will be a tough spot for the Packers. Good luck.

    Did you miss this part?

I posted that so that everyone would know it wasn't just a defensive indicator. I just thought it was an interesting stat.

No I didn't miss it. It says proficiency of special teams, which pretty much translates into field position.

Doesn't say anything about special teams or defensive scoring, does it?

If that's included, okay. If not, then it's like the QB rating. Pretty numbers that don't take everything into account.

    Check the website: http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com/

It does a good job or correlating their custom stats to a teams ability to win. It's a little different than the standard stats you see on NFL.com. I thought it was pretty interesting.

    It's definitely interesting.

But I'll take everything that site says with a grain of salt. After all, the have the Jets #1 in the power rankings. :tongue2:

They also have Dallas ranked above Miami. I think not.

So much for feeling better about the GB game.

I have to change all my wins to toss ups. After the past several weeks, it's clear to me that the Jets shouldn't expect to beat anyone. The Lions sure proved that. Stafford did very well against the Jets (overrated) pass defense. Jets offense woke up just in time, but for the most part they were flat. The running game has evaporated.

Cleveland is going to be a tough game. My hope is that CLE is emotionaly drained after the Pats game and they come out flat. But this game is 50/50 at best.

I'll say what all you guys are thinking: The Jets are a very fortunate 6-2. But it beats being an unfortunate (insert worse record here). But it's been weeks since they have put together a complete game and if they don't correct all of the penalties, dropped passes and poor coaching decisions, they are headed for a collapse and an 8-8 record. I'm not drinking the Green Kool Aid. I am not happy with their play.

I definitely overestimated the Jets in that game. But if I told you that the Jets would outgain the Packers 360 to 237, hold Rodgers to 170 yards, hold GB to 81 rushing yards, and hold them to 2/14 on 3rd down, you wouldn't think they would have a shot at winning. But in the stat category that matters most (points), the Jets laid an egg.

We are all guilty at times of overestimating the team we root for. Look at how many people thought Miami was going to beat the Ravens...on the road...coming off their bye week. But this is what fans do

You definitely put on a better offense performance against the Ravens (on the road no less) than the Jets did at home. Even in you scored only one more point, you moved the ball much better than the Jets did. If your defense played them as well as the Jets did, you would have been looking at OT.

Okay, you've proven yourself as a Jet fan that's not a troll and actually is realistic concerning your team.

Now we just have to figure out how to get you to recognize a joke. :wink2:

I know it was a joke! But it is true. The Jets offense performance against the Ravens was their worst of the year - even worse than the shutout against GB. I don't think they reached 200 yard of total offense. Pitiful!

But you SHOULD have come back with "Oh yea? Your defense gave up more points!"

Had Denver, Pittsburgh, and Chicago wrong. My prediction of 10-6 was off by one. Not bad ;)
