The Bengals wide receiver fired off a slew of Twitter posts Tuesday in response to questions from followers, boldly declaring "my time is up" in Cincinnati.
The conversation was sparked when one follower asked Ochocinco for his thoughts on Georgia wide receiver A.J. Green, considered by some to be the top wideout in this week's draft and often linked to the Bengals, who own the fourth overall pick.
"He'd be perfect," Ochocinco said of Green. "I've done all I can, my time is up."
Added Ochocinco: "I love Cincy, but coach Lewis is mean to me now so I think I am gone."
Earlier in the day, Green told The Cincinnati Enquirer he could see himself with the Bengals next season.
"I've had good meetings and visits with them," Green said. "... The coaching staff seems pretty laid back and I got along with all of them."
And while Green ingratiated himself to the idea of playing in Cincinnati, Ochocinco continued to express a growing disconnect with coach Marvin Lewis, for whom he had some harsh words.
"He has gone over board to publicly (chastise) the one guy who loves him i'm so hurt," Ochocinco said. "Y'all ever lost somebody you felt was close to (you) but they flip on you without giving (you) the script? Marvin Lewis hurt my feelings."
