Thriller is a more complete LP. I like Off the Wall a lot. The best songs on Off the Wall rule, but its not a complete LP.

Both records have amazing songs that are great to dance to. Girls love to dance. Girls love guys who dance. I am a crappy dancer, but when "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" or "Thriller" is played at a party, I shake my groove thing. I'm married now, but when I was single, I'm positive I scored more ladies cause I like to dance to Michael Jackson. Its true. And I suck at dancing.
Dancing gets you girls. Michael Jackson makes you dance. Ergo, Michael Jackson gets you girls. You can push the "neither" button, but you're making it harder on yourself.

I like Thriller better.
I don't understand why Michael Jackson gets so much hate on his music. His personal issues should not taint his musical accomplishments what-so-ever. The dude was an amazing artist, without question.GARDENHEAD likes this. -
having said that he makes some great songs, I think the hate has more to do with his music being seen I guess as girly then manly??Fin D likes this. -
Gotta go with 'Thriller'. Breakthrough album for the man of no color, plus Eddie helped 'Beat it' get played on rock radio with his solo. Heard the song one time, did two takes and used the first one. He did it as a favor to producer Quincy Jones, didn't get a dime for it. Steve Lukather did the rest of the guitar.

he was a pop artist, which is by definition someone who makes songs not as an artistic expression but as someone who makes music solely to get rich and famous. thus, i have no respect for michael jackson. pedophile stuff aside.

People make music. Some of it becomes popular. Most does not. To claim that the popular stuff was made solely for the motivation of making money is simply inaccurate. Paul Simon wasn't expressing himself when he wrote "Bridge Over Troubled Water"? It was a hit song. The melody is catchy. Bob Dylan is widely popular. He wrote a ton of hit songs that were "pop" for lack of a better term.
Just because a song is catchy and a lot of people like it does not mean it is frivilous and lacks artistic expression. -

Michael Jackson is a genius and a true artist. And a pedophile and a disgusting freak. And the Jefferson 5 were AMAZING! -
