Pretty much man. I refuse to buy those visual atrocities. I'd rather just keep wearing the old Cliff Floyd jersey circa 2001 to games. But yeah, the older stuff should go cheap.

This makes me happy. Pitching needs to be our top priority this offseason.

I have a very hard time believing our payroll is going to be around 85 million if we are going after Reyes AND Buehrle.

The Marlins don't officially reveal the full details of their branding makeover until Friday, but on the heels of the leak of the new logo and hats, it appears that details of the new uniform have also found their way online early. And if they're accurate, you can say goodbye to teal, and hello to ...orange?

Here's the mock-ups of the new uniforms obtained by MarlinManiac.com from an unnamed source:

I think they look really cool.

That guy that did the mockups, got pretty close!

all he really missed was the yellow for the black.

The M is a little big on the hat, though. But I'm fine with them.

They're gonna receive backlash, but that's not surprising. It could be the coolest uni ever and people would still complain.

I like them actually. If they took the yellow out of the logo, that would be fine as well. But the yellow is awful.

    So what's the concensus?

Is this Reyes/Pujols stuff for real?

I cannot help but be skeptical of this organization, but if they get one of these done, I will have to tip my cap. It's the least they can do after the boondoggle they pulled off getting the ballpark built.

For hypothetical sake, let's say they actually have proposals that both Pujols and Reyes will agree to. You have to sign Albert, no? I have no idea how Hanley will play at 3B and Gaby is better trade bait for a guy like Gio Gonzalez.

Reyes just doesn;t seem like a great use of resources to me. Could Gaby play 3B?

They would have to have the best chance at Reyes, but a far lesser chance at Pujlos. At the end of the day, its fine from a publicity standpoint to go after Pujols, but they wont land him.

Reyes is the max of their attraction, but it to is a long shot. And frankly probably not worth the price.

I personally think the price per time on the field ratio is at its max right now with Reyes. The point of no return is at its climax! Overpay to win the day!

His return on the dollar is far greater! As long as he slot as a #2 or #3 NL,,#3 or #4 AL he is money in the bank.

Sad, then over spend on Pujols and dont let him walk from the city without contract in hand..........but ovespending on Reyes, is bad move and landing 2nd best kisser at the prom when you want to go beyond 2nd base and claim you secured a HR to all your peers!
