    Moving right along....

Joba Chamberlain threw two scoreless innings of relief with two strikeouts Saturday in his second rehab appearance with the GCL Yankees, reports MLB.com. Chamberlain, who underwent Tommy John surgery last June, hasn't pitched in the majors since June 5, 2011. "He's got another two-inning outing coming," general manager Brian Cashman said Sunday. "He's coming off an extended period of time. We were talking about his rehab schedule yesterday and manipulating it as we go along."

Several to choose from off the 25. DJ Mitchell is probably low man on totem pole for now.

P.S. As mentioned already, Gardner's status (sounds like another potential setback) will be the lynch-pin for any rumored OF help via Trade, only if the price is reasonable.

And, I dont see a dire need of arms via trade either, not with CC's return, plus getting Andy back in Sept, and callups, etc, which could actually benefit us and Andy from no fatigue with push into playoffs, from arm standpoint, plus we get bullpen help will come mid August too.

As you eluded to Hunt.....I am equally as puzzled too....

As for a trade, I dont do a thing.....I mean do your due diligence sure, if something great pops up like Upton, then yeah, but I dont know how they can improve the roster honestly....

for them it is all about hitting the baseball in October....

Interesting, I wonder what they are interested in doing, the White Sox that is.....maybe Rios?

I have a hard time thinking it would be Rios as he's having a pretty good year plus it's not like they have OF depth in the minors or someone to replace him if they moved him. Unless the White Sox just want to dump his salary. Still doesn't make sense to move him at this moment.

My guess would be the Yankees are after one of their RPers.

I guess the bigger question is why would they want Betances right now or why would the Yankees trade him when his stock is super low.

That part is far easier to answer. But aside from some Website spouting off, its meaningless in the overall sense you list. Just disregard this noise and nonsense this time of year, UNTIL a deal is announced....all else is fodder for hits and banter.

Oh and I get that BDH, but something is there....the scouts have been there for 3 straight games watching him.....

a team doesnt allocate their scouts this time of year on something of non-interest you know? Doesnt anything come of it, who knows, but they (chi) are interested in moving somebody...

No, they are interested in acquiring by sending their scouts......of course they are.....but the bottomline is its meaningless unless you show me where Yanks (in this case) have sent THEIR scouts to see a WS player they desire.

As I said, showing interest in Betances to buy low makes total sense....

...that does not equate to something being there or in the works, etc.

they wouldn't be sending their scouts if it was for one of their major leaguers....

so yeah CHI sends a ML'er to NYY and NYY sends maybe a ML'ers and a prospect back...in that case it makes sense....

Of I definitely think they do...and you are right, I wouldn't really think anything of it until something comes from NY's end....

also remember there is just over 2 weeks before the deadline, and it is easier to scout MLB'ers than AA prospects...

Yup it's that time of year when rumors run wild. Doesn't mean anything until it means something, which is after the trade is complete.

Nope, waste of time...not my thing ever.....speculation of this type is for fools and foolish minds - serves no purpose but to waste time.

Especially when said speculation is deemed by the deliverer as gospel truth (which always is the case) and should be debated about ad nauseum. Frankly, it's one of the biggest problem with these boards, as many feel that's the main intent.

I dont participate in that nonsense. Much rather save it for facts (or the crux of the matter) to discuss....speculation about nonsense is fools gold.

Example: Taking the WS post about going after Betances, is fine....but the intelligent question is the one RF asked, why would Yanks even think the way the foolish Website blogger speculates "or reports hahaha" - regardless of WS sending scouts - thats meaningless. Thus, since no factual proof is shown to explain if the "other half of the transaction" would have any interest, the wasted speculation of which players the Yanks would seek back is a fruitless effort (to me). It only changes if you get info that says Yanks are willing to trade Betances, and they are seeking X in return..then let the fun begin.

But right now, bloggers are fools with fools errands.....I'll pass!

hahahah Mr. Serious guy on the interwebz I love it!!!!!....your idea of fun I guess is throwing every stale cliche line out about the Red Sox...dude we have heard them all....

again whether something comes out of it remains to be seen sometimes trades don't always work out, more often than not they dont, however to suggest NOTHING is happening because you think nothing is happening and then claim that as some sort of fact is funny, especially in light when an actual sports writer who covers the Trenton Thunder not a "blogger" wrote a FACTUAL spinet about an opposing franchise's scouts attending multiple games (if it was 1 game I would say fine I agree with you)....again the only thing that means is that the WS are interested possibly in the guy they are scouting, and that the WS do have an interest in trading somebody on their team....it isnt fodder given the time of year it is...again will something come out of it who knows...

BDH this whole fansite isn't to be taken seriously lol, have you seen some of the garbage the Dolphins fans post about, it is the main reason I post in the football mains less frequently...it is all opinion..take a gander at it when you have time...If you have come here for 100% truth, you have come to the wrong place, especially in the POFO.....

P.S. Do you play fantasy BB??? I have Soriano (picked up after Mo went down)....anyway.....last two nights in what should have been non-save situations, he has vultured two Saves by entering with outs in the 9th and men on base.

Saves category is so stupid (same with Wins for single pitcher)....! We have talked about this...but these last two nights....too funny!
