Plain and simple, these are the games we won last year, and we're not this year. The Defense couldn't stop Manning, and the offense couldn't execute in the two minute. I don't think that Henning is to blame. His play calls got us in a position to win. Clock management could have been better, but I'm not sure that wasn't on Pennington. That said, I think we will be looking at Henne by the Bye week.
Padre AJ is has about 25-30 pounds on Ginn and is a known for his physical style. Ginn is not physical and shy's from contact.
Yeah sure bro, maybe when the announcers themselves (like the last game) start calling him out again... The dude half the time doesnt even try and get too much past the FD marker, just grabs the pass and rans out of bounds ASAP on those curls.
To be fair, Game #2 last season was a blowout loss to the Cardinals, we have greatly improved over week #1 in basically every phase of the game, a catch here or a tackle there and this game would have been ours. This season we are playing in the Big Boy league, every play matters, Ginn is the clear target, Jason Taylor and Joey Porter are #2 and #3, they did very very little this evening.
We drafted him to be. Its getting more obvious that hes not. Hes a #2 at best. AJ, CJ, Moss, TO. Steve Smith, Torry Holt, Reggie Wayne etc ... those guys catch both those balls. Our recievers do not.
Chad scewed us with over throwing 2 players for a TD, then he wont throw to any other receivers who go more than 15 yards. At the end he had no choice and when he did Our Number 1 receiver should come down with it. Like the annoucer said, I think Jackson guy with glasses, simply PATHETIC
Well BK, one thing you will never hear from me is complaints about Ted Ginn being soft, I don't believe he is, I do think he does not handle pressure well as of yet. He's gotta make those plays, a professional Wr catches every ball that hits his hands, and Ginn did not.
A player can pad his stats all he wants. If he can't do it when it COUNTS, I don't care if he went for 300 yards up and down the field. We also dominated time of possession... but guess what... WE LOST. IT DOESN'T MATTER.
I think he is soft after watching tonight's game. Every catch he either fell to the turf or ran out of bounds. Listen I agree 100% Ginn needs to make that catch all the time but its not like we have anyone that is stepping up. I can't blame Ginn for the loss because chances our we would have loss in OT. Loss falls on the whole team so many issues.
Well hey no ones denying the fact that it was an exciting game. Our offense seemed to come alive somewhat...or better said compared than last week. Special Teams coverage unit tackled good.... Thats about it. BTW The INT before the half was bogus. It WAS INTed but I guess the rule of the field cant cause the fumble or drop or whatever doesnt apply when its against the Colts? That was a free FG there. The other FG was a gift as well with that crappy 12th man call when the Colts were not even properly set themselves and I thought thats a penalty too not have at least 5 men on the LOS.
he dropped one, Fasano dropped one, defense collapsed. Everyone gets some blame. Posted via Mobile Device
I'm interested to see if ESPN will show any Miami PCs. I really want to see about that last 3:18 with 2 TOs being so mishandled.
well you could try making one that makes sense................ look im not saying he didn't **** up. he ****ed up. Im saying he was all we had for awhile, so yes that should be taken into account. Calling it padding his stats is ridiculous. He was part of the problem, yes, but there were alot of problems is my point. A defense that did nothing, a qb that plays like he can only throw it 3 yards, wrs who disappeared, etc.
and I will mention it fails hard and I don't care if you think I'm an *** by saying that. Anyone who thinks Ted Ginn is the reason we lost is a ****ing moron plain and simple. Ginn F'ed up everyone knows thats but he can't be blamed, 1 person can't be blamed on this loss and I can tell you Sporano would say the samething.
Nothing else in the game mattered. It was won and lost on that single play at the end where Ginn dropped the ball. It could have erased his previous drop, fasano's drop, the defense tackling like ****... A true #1 WR makes that catch and bails all the rest of it out. They don't let two hands come in contact with the ball (I don't give a damn if the CB was all over him, two - count 'em TWO hands hit the ball) and drop it.
I will repeat what I said before. Ted Ginn is not entirely at fault for the loss. As I mentioned in your other thread, the 2 minute offense was atrocious. But Ted Ginn HAS to make that last catch.
No it was not won or loss on 1 play there is still OT I didn't know if Ginn catches that we win the game. Agreed Ginn isn't a number 1 WR but no one else is stepping up.
Nah it hit Fasano in the hands but he was fully extended so it would have been a tough catch and I don't blame Fasano.
Seems that way to me, he catches it we win. He drops it we lose. Anyway, I'm in a pissed off mood and I'm going to argue with anybody right now, so it's nothing against you. As I said in another thread I'm out of here for a few days until I can get my mind back.
this is worst then when romo botched the hold on the field goal....... you have an offense that marches completely down the field, not once, twice. TWO, as brandon put it, even more then that, and you are telling me this is on ginn and nothing else matters.
