The Dolphins travel to Nashville to play the 6-7 Titans Game time 1pm Weather mid 30's, mixture of sun and clouds Out Titans: Nate Washington, Tony Brown listed as questionable Dolphins: Jake Grove traveled with the team Games to scoreboard watch: Patriots at Bills, Bears at Ravens, Broncos and Raiders. Please don't ask about links to streams use a pm or something... Dolphins are coming into this one with their backs against the wall, nothing new there, but this is the last road game of the season and one we have to win. Predictions: And toss in WQAM's own the Big Slow going for Ten and the pundits are going for TN, the ex players are picking Miami, including Tom Jackson, who has been spot on so far when he picks the Phins Go Dolphins!!!
I am quite nervous about this game.....I would hope the D message is "lane responsibility" and "contain, contain, contain".
Functionally, he traveled with the team, but Nate Garner is warming up with Chad Henne, Berger starts, Garner is #2, Grove is the emergency Center.
Our D cannot afford a missed tackle on Chris Johnson... today they need to have their best tackling game of the year. One missed tackle on #28 and it's over, six points. If we play him like we played Darren Sproles and Maurice Jones Drew, we'll be alright. As I type, NFLn and NFL Films are basically having CJ's baby on national TV.
CJ has set an NFL history record of 3 85+ TD runs this season. Thats nuts...I would be on his jock if I was Steve Sabol and NFL Films to. We must contain, contain, contain.
The Hype just kills me, I rarely watch those shows anymore, to hear them speak Johnson has 5,000 yds and 350 TD's already. Inactives for today:
Have faith. This team plays its best football when their backs are up against the wall. LETS GO MIAMI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
CJ has 7 runs of 40+ yards and a whopping 20 of 20+ yards ... second place in those categories is Frank Gore with 4 of 40+ and 9 of 20+. The hype for Johnson this season is well founded. EDIT: He also has 350+ more yards than anyone else rushing, on about 15-20 carries less.
Kearse is a surprise, the Titans passrush is not very good, and with Brown nicked up, one would think they'd want more juice on the rush.
Mornin Padre, mornin everyone.. I just heard that andrew garner is starting for vernon carey..on qam.. This is going to be a very physical game, i feel like as a team, they dont respect us... I'd like to see ricky channel his heisman trophy days and outshine the best back in the NFL, let the facinating story that is the black demon continue.. Cant wait to watch this freakin game.
Really!?!? I like Andrew Gardner but jumpin' jehosophat these is an inconvenient time for Carey to miss a game for AG... Welcome to the NFL..Rook...
the lucky seven: 1) will be brutal 2) everyone will start who has fifteen minutes of good play left, including Smiley, Grove & Carey (smoke & mirrors) 3) got to get the run established (dominate the clock) to win 4) the game will be won or lost in the offensive & defensive trenches (begins w/the Pod, they set the tone & pace of the game) 5) if Ricky has a good day, the pass will be very successful against the Titans 6) everyone needs to play 100%, physicality will be the deciding factor in todays game 7) if the run & passing game click & the trenches prevail, it could be a very big day for Miami, however, my prediction is a very close hard fought game that comes down to a 4th quarter victory for Miami: the Dolphins by 3
very nervous about this game...hopefully they control the ball and keep Chris Johnson and Vince Young off the field. Although i'm much more worried about johnson then young..
While the focus all week has been on Chris Johnson and the running game.......I'm beginning to think that the story after this Dolphins win will be the high number of completed passes thrown by Chad Henne.
That is our ace in the hole Zod, the titan's passrush is not even JVille's, or it hasn't been, yet we are going to pound the rock? Sparano is smarter than that, punditry is underestimating him.
i agree. i think both offensive coordinatpors have looked at the film of the defenses and decided that the way to move the ball will be through the air. I expect both teams to throw more than 30 times each. Miami about 40 and Tennessee about 30.
Weather-------- http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...te=OHX&textField1=36.1716&textField2=-86.7848 This Afternoon: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. Southwest wind around 5 mph.
very nervous for this game. I think were going to have a really hard time containing johnson and young. If we can eat the clock and use a similar game plan to what we did against the colts, I think we should be okay. But we can't have mistakes or turnovers. Have to execute on every single play. Other thing that sucks... today is my moms birthday. So I've got to go over to their place later this afternoon, which means i'll end up having to listen to some of this game on Sirius on my drive over there.
Color, winter, and home field selection....... The opponents chooses color for sun and heat during the winter when we play away. We choose White for the sun and heat in South Florida when we play at home. The only chance we have to wear aqua is on the road in early September.
