If Henne does this again in any of the remaining games, I can't say I would feel 100% confident in being 'set'at Quarterback.
well my thinking is that if they miss it we know we need the ball twice... if they make it they only need it once. Changes how we play defense IMO. moot point now
Apparently not over yet. I'll bite my tongue and eat crow if we come back and win this. No problems there.
I hear ya...but thats why we have to learn to take the highs with the lows and stay more evenkeel. TO's may be our enemy in pulling this out...but take the good with the bad and just root and watch.
Henne has done exactly that, one great play, one bad play. You've said the same crap for 4 months now, you never give it a rest, and quite frankly I'm a bit tired of it. Chill, it is a game, meant for entertainment, not every play is the end of the world or every mistake the worse coach in the world made a bad call...
As young as this team is - it's encouraging. I like it more than the Buffalo game. At least we know they don't quit......a little clumsy maybe but they don't quit.
Well if that's the case we should just assume we'll miss it, since we'd be playing for the tie if we convert the two anyways. Not to mention 2 pt conversions have like a 20% success rate.
If you went for it and missed...you forced needing the ball twice.....we still only need the ball once....so not going for 2 when it wasnt necessary is the right call. We are 1 score away.
im willing ot be he will. but as long as he has some good with the bad at the worst he'll be average.
the one thing I want to see Henne improve on this offseason is touch. He needs to understand how to get touch passes to his receivers. for example, missing Hartline in the back of the endzone is a play he needs to make to go from a good QB to great. IMO
Eh, don't know about that. I'm pretty set on Henne, especially for a rookie QB (yes, he's a rookie) lacking a go to receiver. Most of the mistakes he's made this year, IMO, were due to true lack of experience. He should be able to overcome that with some heavy film study.
And now we've got the refs dictating our final push to get back into the football game. GTFOH with that Solai call. It should have been third and long, man.
