GO PHINS.
I hope we run it down their throat and throw a screen pass to cobbs that he'll take for 80 yards for a TD. no wildcat this time. just ronnie brown trucking every guy over there.
I hope the front seven get plenty of sacks and the backs get a couple of picks.
i hope trent edwards is on his back more often than saturday nights (or thursday nights or whatever night he gets his groove on).
marshawn lynch look out joey porter, akin ayodele, channing crowder and matt roth are home and aren't welcoming guests!

I need a Phins win so I can shove it in the face of the dumb Jill fans up here.

My thoughts on this weeks game:
Miami...
1. needs to lynch Marshawn.
2. must rattle Edwards. (hiz brainz)
3. needs to pound the ground with Ronnie Brown.
Buffalo...
1. must win between the tackles.
2. needs to be patient and open up PA passing.
3. should open the hEVANS. Bring in the bomb squad.
This is a game that I badly want Miami to win. Just as much as when we played NE and SD. Statement games are great. And thats a compliment to the Bills, and what they have done so far this year.

There will be no smack in this thread.
Some of my fondest memories of football is this rivalry.
How can you not like the Shula versus Levy games of old or the shootouts between Marino and Kelly? That was exciting football.
Let's hope for a competitive game with no injuries on either side of the ball and for a win.Idahophin, steveincolorado, first&goal and 1 other person like this. -
Wow, its starting early for this game today! Hope its a great game. Im pretty bummed out that I'm going to miss this one today. Instead I'll be at Ford Field in Detroit watching for scoreboard updates. Got some free tickets for the Lions/Skins today, 4th row too! Pretty bummed out JT won't be playing though :pity:
Anyhow, here's to a great game today hopefully! Hopefully our DB's dont get burned too much by Evans/Edwards. Id love to see Ronnie and Penny both bounce back from "bad" games last week and hopefully guide us to a win!
enjoy! -
Game thread four hours before the game ? I remember at the old site that it become so competetive to be the first with the game thread that they were popping up three days before.....seriously.
Thats why the staff should do it IMO no more than a couple of hours before
Anyway here is to a great game with no injuries . -
Yeah I started this at like 3 in the morning heh.
I see you guys changed the title :( sorry it's just how I feel about them :D

- porter and roth need big games
- secondary needs execution
- pennington should take some chances
Miami wins, 34 - 24. Trent Edwards is going down. -
Wow 10 points in our favor (I spilled the spoiler).
What's got you having us beating them by 10 points? D players being out or something?
I'm skeptical and concerned about today's game. -
I believe we can get pressure on Edwards, which will make Edwards look Cassel-esque when we played NE. Also I think we've got something up our sleeves again. Sparano most likely has this team ready to do what others see as impossible.
We're going to kill the middle of their field. Pennington will have 100 passer rating and a 90% completion percentage. Ricky and Ronnie will have an OK day, probably a couple TD's from them. I really wanna see Fasano get another TD and I think today he comes through, him or David Martin will.
I just hope we can stop the run today. Last week we saw how bad it can be when Ferguson isn't playing. Stop Marshawn Lynch and double team Lee Evans and I see that we can take this hardfought game into our W column. -
-
If we can't stop the run, we're going to see plenty of Lynch/Jackson all day long, wearing out our defense. If that happens, im turning off the TV and jumping off a cliff.
-
I might start to watch the eagles game though.shelby likes this. -
Should be a good one. I dont see why we cant beat this team but if we lose back -to-back home games I`ll be very disappointed. The Bills are a very good team but if we show the same intensity we had against the Pats and Chargers,we win. I dont know why but we were definitely out- hustled against the Ravens. That better not happen today.

I actually get to watch this game on tv this week because Indy and Tennessee are both on Monday night (those two teams are all you get in East Tennessee), so I'm excited. Here's to 3-4.

So far this season the pattern has been that we surprise teams when they are highly favored and then go back to mediocre status when we think we are getting good.
Hopefully the pattern continues today. -
It's really hard to handicap this game because both teams have complimentary strengths and weaknesses. If we can run the football well and keep the Bills' big plays in the passing game at a minimum. A few big defensive plays wouldn't hurt either.
P.S. Does anyone know the inactives for today's game? -

We've played well against the Jets and Patriots, both divisional opponents this year.
I think we continue that streak against Buffalo today.
Let's go Miami! :woot: -
But hey, Hagan's active, maybe he will actually make a play.
And I'm surprised that Dotson/Wright are both inactive considering that Ferguson wasn't originally scheduled to play today. -
