Well, it does make a certain cynical sense Al13.

You head into the last preseason game, you know who will make the team for the most part, with maybe 2 or 3 Roster slots open, so you can play your starters early, maybe a Qtr, then put the "nothing to lose" guys in to play the rest of the game.

If the soon to be cut guys are injured, it does not make an impact, and your starters are well rested heading into Game #1, in essence the 22 guys who play three Qtrs in preseason gm #4 are more or less tackling dummies with Dolphins uniforms on.

They know it, but those players also know other teams watch the game film and if they play well enough they have a shot at landing somewhere else.

Last yr, we played the Saints in the final game and Joey Harrington was crushed, the Defense teed off on him and for his trouble..he was cut that Tuesday...
