Pennington is 100%, he should start against the Titans, the Henne Fish has shown what he has and has done so consistently, 1 Td 3 int's poor touch, poor timing, at what point does it sink in that he is having a crappy season and is possibly 60% of what is wrong with the offense? Henne had his moments today, but Defense could not tackle, cant cover Ray Rice, Cant hold on to a Int, and Henning needs to get Ronnie involved more.

Pennington could hit down the field passes, and would have thrown far less than Henne Fish's what..10 interceptions to 6 TD's? And this is with an offense designed to play max protect with the ball. Dude is not getting it done Sick, say what one will, if Sparano pours himself a large cup of Reality Coffee..Henne will move to the backup role. He throws to many interceptions, he does not throw TD's and he his poor touch on the ball hampers the offense. THAT is why Henne is a fish.

That is not what an NFL offense in today's NFL should be designed as. That my friend is on the coaching staff. Why on earth you would give Pennington the ball is beyond crazy at this point. There are 8 games left, and I'm betting we win 5-7 of those games. Putting in Pennington, or Thigpen, or bringing in Pat White from the Royals bullpen will not solve the offensive woes for this team; changing the offensive philosophy is the first step. Unfortunately, I think we're destined to 9-7 or 10-6 and won't see this step taken until 2011. I'd be willing to bet that Chad Henne is still the QB. Putting in Pennington at this point is just plain stupid, and you of all people should know that Padre. That's just a backwards move for the entire franchise.

The downfield passes to Hartline and Marshall........ does that happen with Penny? Probably not..... b/c Penny threw no INTs the last time he faced this defense.
We've also added Beast and Hartline, both who make plays on the ball in the air. Henne threw that pass to Hartline's spot not to Hartline that is why the ball was thrown, the pass to Fasano was also a throw Penny doesn't miss, the bounce off of Beasts hands, that also doesn't happen if Penny is the Qb. Am I beginning to get through here?
You can say the same thing with Pennington, though. That pass to Bess in the RZ does not get made by Pennington. Pennington has his weaknesses and will hold this offense back just as much as Henne is

How many times do we get a play call to throw the ball downfield to Marshall and/or Harlinte...once every other game? Yeah, Pennington probably makes the throw to Fasano, but there's now way that ball off Marshall's hands gets their with Pennington at QB. He was 0-3 as a starter last year with a better running game to go with him. Pennington is not the answer. Changing the philosophy and adding weapons to Henne's arsenal is.
