What an advantage it is having worked at Game Stop in High School, and having all of my classes on Tues/Thurs at FAU right now. Got mine today.
YO! Anyone buying this game tomorrow should go to CIRCUIT CITY as they are giving away a free $10 gift card with the game... You can use those 10 bucks to get something else... Just like go to your car and walk right back in and whatever... Might not be much BUT it's better than paying 60 or 90 and get nothing else...
Not a big deal bro. As far as I know, you can just go to BB with your receipt and get your money back. Now if you would've ordered it from like Amazon or something, then it might get more complicated, but BB...nah no big deal.
well I might have to go out and buy this today. It will be my first GTA experience believe it or not. (im' not counting my GTA3 experience on PC. God that game was horrid)
This will be my first GTA game as well. I watched the IGN review, and lets say I can't wait to get this.
I have way too much school work to do, and then I move on friday, so I have no reason to get it on thursday. I may get it on saturday though, I guess we'll see.
Going to pick up a copy when I get off work today. Hopefully don't have to hit to many stores to find it.
I picked it up already but I only had half an hour to play so far. The driving is a lot different now. It will take some getting used to.

i just picked this game up, but im operating daddy-day care until 4:30, when the wife gets home...im excited, i love these games. and what makes it sweeter, the kid at gamestop said i had a credit i never used for madden 08, for the full 64.99, so i basically got this game for free. im pretty certain that was a clerical error on my end,but then again, i can be forgetful too. hey, i give to charity a lot, so i didnt mind taking this free-bee. while there, i transfered my $5 deposit to mgs4. if you put a deposit down at gamespot, they give you a beta disc. thats pretty cool no? im not aware of a demo or anything of that nature yet.
I think I may get some in-store credit for Call of Duty 4 so I can get GTA4 tonight... CoD4 was a good game, but I just didn't get into it as much as some did.

i got a dvd with a pass-code to log in through PS3 account management, and download this beta. im not familiar with metal gear. seems cool tho.
Grabbed it after work today and played it for about 3 hours before the g/f kicked me off the TV.... I played Vice City to death but didn't play San Andreas at all, the controls are very foreign to me, I'm learning as I go. So far it is damn cool. The game is so fracking deep. That is really all I can say about it for the time being. I have Thursday off work so I'm sure I'll spend, oh I dunno, 12 hours playing it then...LOL!
yeah I got it after work yesterday as well. It's new to me also, as its my first try at a GTA other than a PC version way back when. I'm starting to get used to the controls. I had a little fun playing some multiplayer last night with a friend, but it started getting old as everyone wanted to play cops and robbers. The only game modes I've played so far are cops and robbers and team deathmatch. I went exploring the city a bit in a helicopter afterwards while I was in the party lobby. We used that time to get familiar with the controls and cover system. It's a very pretty game, graphics are great and all. And the game itself is pretty fun, but I wouldn't rate it a 10 out of 10, really not even close to 10 yet. I'd probably give it an 8 right now, but that could change after I play it a few days more. My biggest gripe I think is using hte cover system. It's pretty hard to get in and out of in a hurry. I wish I could get in and out of cars faster as well. I think the highlight of my night was driving a forklift last night, LOL.
It was funny, last night everytime I looked at my friends list online, everyone that was online or at least 4/5th of them were all playing GTA4.
I think so, I even bought the guide since I like to 100% all games, and they always have the stunt jumps and other little collecting games hideen throughout the city.
