I would think Pata and Shannon would feel it. FAMU is simply playing for the Game Check, that one game will fund their football program for quite sometime, FAMU at one time was a real powerhouse school that sent players http://www.databasefootball.com/pla...lorida+Agricultural+and+Mechanical+University Jamie Nails and Bullet Bob Hayes played ball at FAMU so I'd bet we will see Highsmith some to give him some experience.
I'm beginning to really worry about this game fellas. They have more speed, agility, are better synchronized. If the Band of the Hour doesn't bring their A game - I see a long night for the Canes.
On the other hand - LSU is not that good. Any chance they beat UF tonight with or without Jesus?? All signs point to the fact he might play.
The game can be watched on the FAMU website if you don't have other means. http://www.famurattlersports.com/
Marty, go here and scroll down to the UM game. Click "Watch Live". Also, if they ask you to download a small flash player - it'll tell you immediately - do so if you want to watch. It takes about two minutes and it doesn't affect your computer. You download it, go to your documents, find it and run it. Then you just come back to the same place, click Watch Live and you get the game.
Anyone see the idiot who taunted the Canes doing the U thing with his hands earlier in the game? LOL. what a joke.
What's better is that they were already down 17-3 It isn't as if they were up 3-0 and he made that interception.
This is a big week for Miami, because even though VT needs to lose two more ACC games, if they fall short @GT you've got to think they're going to fall more than 5 spots in the polls. This would put Miami ahead in the polls, and for good if we take care of business down the road. Compete in the ACC title game or not, we'd be the highest ranked team in the ACC and maybe, just maybe, that'd give us an at large bid into a BCS bowl game. I'm eying three teams ahead of us in the polls right now that have a good shot to lose this week.
Yep, and UCF beat us last year too. Can't take these smaller games for granted, the Canes have to come out and play like they played against GT. Every game. These are the games that drop you in the rankings, slacking off or not coming prepared to play.
Well this kinda sucks..... "Miami linebacker Jordan Futch will miss the remainder of the season with a knee injury, a significant blow to the ninth-ranked Hurricanes. Futch got hurt in Saturday night's win over Florida A&M. The team did not reveal which knee was injured or the severity of the problem. He had started two games and was a special-teams player for the Hurricanes. Also Monday, Miami officially ruled cornerback Ryan Hill (shoulder, undisclosed) and defensive end Dyron Dye (left knee) out for the remainder of the season. Hill played in three games for Miami (4-1), while Dye had been battling injuries since training camp." http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4554795
If you have Comcast they are giving a free showing of the game on channel 744 (could be different in your area) through most of Florida and some of the east coast.
Why do they always give the ball spot to where the guy rolled instead of where he went down? Thats weird and WRONG.
Ignore the BS until the picture is blown up....you can see the handfull of Jersey that is even tugging Gamble's shoulder pad down. Like ive been saying for 7 years, probobly not what u call in that situation but the game was full of crappy calls for both teams, but again it was holding wich IS a penalty. http://home.earthlink.net/~ohiobort/Cryami.html
Yet in the actual play you cant see it at all. You have to realize that just because you can take a picture of a split second motion of the hand doesn't mean it was a penalty. He did NOTHING to redirect him and he didnt keep his hand on him for more than 0.1 seconds.
Harris = 7/7 for 97 yards and a TD. That is eye popping. I'm hoping we blow them out and Highsmith gets a chance to THROW the ball this week.
I dont know how LONG he had the jersey but its obvious the '7' on his jersey is pulled to his side. I would be ticked to that the call was made in that situation, but it was a hold and a hold is illegal.
there is holding on almost every single play.......they only call the ones that effect the play. this didnt fall under that category. thanks for playing though.
You played football you should know better... How many times have you seen defensive holding called when it wasnt even the intended reciever being held??? Remember Surtain and Madison? They were called for holding religously, where u got its only the ones that "affect the play" is beyond me...no more Landsharks for you.
well ill re-phrase it.......they 99% arent calling that penalty.....in that situation (to win or not win a NC) it was a bull**** call. and no way can you say you wouldnt be pissed about it if it went the other way around im drinking busch ice.......landshark is too expensive
Ahh dude Id be fkin livid...Ive said many times that it shouldnt have been called in that situation, but when people call it a "phantom call" its just not true. But it does make me feel better knowing we outplayed them and our defense came to play, pressuring Dorsey with 4 DL was key. Ice beer gives me the runs, currently pounding some Bud Light.
I didnt bring it up little brother I just had to prove the point AGAIN! Im sure its a debate that will go on for many years. But Ill part with a little secret...I kinda like the 'U'
see iam a florida fan.....and a miami fan. before anyone jumps down my throat.....i say....i played against/with like 10 guys in total on both rosters.....so to be a die-hard fan of one team is impossible. plus im from miami. so i always root for them. now florida state......**** them
I'm a fan of just about every team in college football except UF, to be honest. I don't mind FSU at all. I like Alabama quite a bit because of their coach and the talent on their roster. I love their draft prospects. Ohio State I don't mind. I like some of their players but there's some that I can't stand and it is mostly narrowed down to Terrelle Pryor. I'm more of a football fan than a team specific fan. For example, I'm not watching the Canes game because I want to watch Alabama play and I want to record their game even though I have about five other tapes of them from last year. In the NFL, it's the same thing. I like the Dolphins the most but I love watching the Broncos play and I have so for as long as I've been watching football. I also love the Chiefs. Only team I absolutely hate is the Jets.
Yea Im similar...I love watching SEC football thats why im watching Bama, I dont hate Saban, and I too can do without UF... I also cant stand Pryor, I hate the Browns and Jets with a passion though with the Steelers not far behind.
Mark Ingram is a man. A ****ing man. God he's such a talented runner. Him and Trent Richardson are lights out.
