Makes the black eye of OSU losing to this very VaTech. Hey Ohio State, eat a d***. Sent from my Transformer TF101 using Tapatalk 4
Huge win, especially to win the way we did. We need to have these confidence boosters before FSU comes to town. I don't care if noone thinks we can beat FSU....its a rivalry game I'm looking foward to and a great measuring stick to see how close we really are.
Damn, I wish we dominated every team like that in their home stadium. 1:30 seconds from a complete shutout. Duke was a beast last night. Embarrassing VT at home is a great way to start the weekend.
So we currently have a 2-2 conference record. We have another probable loss against FSU which would put us at 3. So we want Duke, Virginia, Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech to lose as many conference games as possible from here on out. We play Virginia, Pittsburgh and North Carolina who is also a 2 loss conference team as we speak. So today I'm pulling for NC over Virginia. GT over Pittsburgh (though either way benefits us somehow). Duke is off. Next week they play Pitt. If Pitt loses today I'll be pulling for them next week.
Miami shouldn't lose to any team left on the schedule not named FSU. Also, GT and UVA have some VERY losable games left and they play each other. Duke will most likely drop one more.
Duke is the team I'm worried about. They need to lose two more I believe if we lose to FSU. I actually think we give FSU a scare but I can't predict a win.
I have no idea what has gotten into this defense but they look really good all of a sudden. And Miami has been running the ball at will for about a month now. We definitely got a shot against FSU. Can't wait.
Well this game is going to come down to three things. Our offensive line against their defensive line. If we can give Duke some space it will be huge. Our defense playing the way it has the last few weeks. Finally whether Kaaya can avoid turnovers and pick up some chunk yardage to keep their defense honest. We have athletes and two weeks to prepare. No excuses. Rivalry game that would put us back on the map at home. I want a win we can be proud of.
If Golden doesn't start calling games like a ***** again, we can win this game, and I might actually start to regain some hope in this staff.
Tomorrow's going to be a loooong day waiting for 8pm. We're playing a lot better than at the beginning of the season, and Brad Kayaa has done amazing as a true freshman qb . According to the preview of the game on ESPN, we're 2 1/2 point underdogs. Looking forward to a hopefully awesome game.
I'm ashamed to say I placed a bet on FSU to cover. I really like the direction of the program but I'm not sure we are there yet. I really want this one but I'm not too sure about it.
I am a Huge Cane fan but I also like to see Championships kept in state lol...This should be a great game but it irks me that this "new panel of 15" or whatever it is called, this week dropped FSU below Oregon to #3 ? They are defending champs going for what, their #26th straight win tonight? Just burns me up because Oregon plays in a weaker PAC 12 and has one loss. Oh well, GO CANES ! ! !
See...personally I'd rather anyone win a title but FSU or Florida. This is our damn state...us or no-one!
Sooo pissed D. Watson got hurt. They were going to MURDER Tech until he went down. Now we cant win the Coastal without beating Florida State.
I agree. I just find it frustrating because had we played Louisville now instead of game one....I have no doubt we beat them. GT loss is the one that stings though. Good news is Duke lost today. We actually need them to win out in ACC play while we do the same for a 3 way tie.
That is just about the oddest start I could have imagined. FSU: 6 plays no first downs two punts. UM: 1 play 1 first down, 1 turnover
Very impressed with Kaaya. This is my first time to see him. Would love to see a Lamar Miller/Duke Johnson combo in Miami at the NFL level.
I don't just talk up players, but Ive been talking up Kaaya HARD. Ive never seen a true freshman who goes through his 1-2-3-4 progressions and just looks natural. I really cant wait to see him after a full offseason program and some weight room work to improve his arm strength.
