He's really good on ST, too.

And Coop to Philly. I'm sure they can find use of him whether it be returning kicks or catching the ball out of the backfield.

I think Coop is a good fit in Philly. They love backs who make plays in the passing game, I think Coop can provide that.

Word is Seantrel Henderson is having back surgery. Conflicting reports whether it's a minor or serious thing that will force him to redshirt and miss the entire season. All I know is back surgery is no joke.

Just an SH update. He was practicing yesterday, so maybe the back thing isn't so serious afterall.

Edit - Just listened to Golden's interview today at camp, and he mentioned SH getting surgery soon, so, we'll see what happens.

Nothing will come of this. Miami and the NCAA have been working together on these allegations for a year now. Also, Paul Dee is the head of the NCAA infractions committee. Paul Dee was the AD at Miami at the time these supposed allegations happened.

What we have here is a butthurt, lying, con artist desperate for attention and money to pay off his massive bills. The guy swindled investors out 1 billion dollars. He's serving 20 years in a federal prison for it. He has no credibility. He's trying to sell a tell all book to help pay for the massive amount of money he owes. Nobody is interested in publishing the book, and if someone did, it would backfire on Shapiro in the form of defamation lawsuits. He claims he has evidence, but I'm not sure how any of the things he claims as evidence, are really evidence. Anybody can take a receipt of something they bought and claimed they gave it to someone. About the only evidence I imagine he'll have is players taking a ride on his yacht, or attending one his many parties.

Not only is the guy willing to lie for personal gain, he's doing it for revenge. The guy wanted to be somebody within the Miami football program. However, nobody wanted anything to do with the guy. Randy Shannon ran him off. I'd say it's a given that some players took some benefits, but it was minor stuff like yacht rides, parties, free meals, free suits. This also happened behind the schools back, and the coaching staff told this guy to stay away. It's not just the athletic program that Shapiro is butthurt about either, it's the whole university. He had a lounge named in his honor, they stripped his name from it after his conviction. They took all the money he donated and gave back to the people he stole it from. They completely turned their back on him.

To sum it all up, all of these allegations are about 90% lie, 10% truth based on a felon with a 20 year sentence trying to get money, attention, and a shortened prison sentence. Miami will get hit with a slap on the wrist, if anything at all. Not just because of the allegations and the guy doing the accusing, but because this doesn't involve any staff of the Miami Hurricanes, and our full cooperation with the NCAA for a year now. Our ties to Paul Dee can't hurt either.

No worries? Yes, there are worries. Miami has really outdone it self here, and they'll pay for it. I expect extreme penalties.

Paul Dee is no longer head of the infractions committee. Dennis Thomas has that job now.

    http://www.ncaa.org/wps/wcm/connect/public/NCAA/Enforcement/People/

This "butthurt, lying, con artist", has receipts, and Yahoo now has 72 of 100 athletes corroborating EVERYTHING this guy is saying.

So, this guy has buried the program.

This is no time for blind fandom. I know how much this program means to alot of us, but the reality is that we all should try on our funeral suits, in case we haven't worn them in a while, because this guy has just sentenced this program to death.

If I had to handicap this...for the shear hypocrisy of what Paul Dee did while he chaired the infractions committee, UM will be made an example of and we can expect tougher penalties than OSU or USC. That is just politics.

As for reality again, the corroboration by athletes shows a systemic problem of institutional control, and that is where those that want it...WILL SEEK IT..the death penalty.

This is no happy talk. just the truth.

Well...I'll always have Miami Baseball to root for. LOL, I don't think they'll be giving anyone the death penalty. If they do, it'll be to the basketball program, not the football guys. Frank Haith is there with the hoes in the photos. Dumb.

this **** is now everywhere. we are screwed...the drumbeat has begun already. We need somethign to break for us. Namely the ncaa to decide if they will seek the expansion of the probe, and make it public.

A good rule of thumb is this..if they expand the probe to ALL of the allegations, since fraudulently obtained monies found it's way into the U's coffers...then we are screwed, if not..we are just looking at 4 to 5 years in the wilderness like last time.

that's the point padre. they can now ATTACK a hypocrite to absolve themselves, since Paul Dee is no longer in charge of the infractions committee. You think OSU and USC is going to sit idly by?

And yet, there was T Pryor running around the backfield in the Lantz Sour Cream and Chive Cracker bowl or whatever it was?

NCAA investigations are conducted in house, they do issue a report, but otherwise they can pretty much do what they want, but this isn't the NCAA that gave a damn, Texas is having a 50 millie ESPN studio built on campus, 20 yrs ago that would have been unheard of by any stretch of the imagination.

Cam Newton's name ring any bells?

Auburn has a long history of this sort of thing, and yet, there he was running around the backfield in the Minor League of American Football Championship Game.

I can recall Brian Bosworth being banned from a OK bowl game for some minor infraction, things aren't the same as they were Sect.

If the evidence he gave Yahoo is not fake, I find it very hard to believe that this guy got away with this for so long under the watchful eye of the NCAA especially with the history of controversy this team has with the NCAA. Another thing I don't understand is so this guy decided to give all this stuff to Yahoo Sports? Smells fishy. When ever I read something from them I take it with a grain of salt anyways.

Just another example of how dumb all these NCAA rules are. They allow "boosters" who are basically just rich losers who like to play big football big shot and hang around 18year old kids, but god forbid they give those kids money.

Then the NCAA compounds the problem by punishing people for these non crimes ten years later.

Fellas, I think we have one female canes fan as well, do yourselves a favor, do not watch the news coverage of this stuff as they, meaning ESPN and Yahoo, will try to make this seem as gory as possible.

Hold tight, and wait for it to blow over, not that there won't be problems, but do not allow each now aspect being highlighted become "your" talking point of the day, believe me when I say that is what the folks who are trying to pull down :theU: are trying to do.

Watch Al Golden like a hawk, what he does means far more then whatever the next screaming headline about Hookers does.
