We did a pretty good job in the College World Series. Let's hope we do better in football playing UF and UCF. We have a streak to uphold, UF hasn't beaten us since 1985. We look to uphold that streak and remain a strong fixture of Florida Football after beating UF the last six consecutive times. Let's keep it going and shut down The Swamp. Once again, let's paint the Swamp Orange and Green, GO CANES!!

Changes to Dolphins Stadium for UM to play there

Here's an article I read on the Miami Herald website about all the things they will be doing to get the stadium ready for UM games. I posted the first few paragraphs, and the link to the article is below.


For months, the University of Miami has been studying how to UM-ify Dolphin Stadium, beginning Aug. 28 against Charleston Southern. ''Whatever it takes to make them happy, we'll do our damndest,'' Dolphin Stadium president Bruce Schulze said.

Here is the plan, disclosed in June interviews with UM and Dolphin Stadium officials:

• Field presentation: Players will continue running though smoke, and the tunnel, onto the field. But unlike at the Orange Bowl, there will not be a ''U'' at midfield, or the word ''Miami'' -- with Canes helmets -- in the end zone. Nor will Dolphins fans see their logo at midfield or ''Dolphins'' in the end zone.

''It would be difficult to do that'' with two football tenants, Schulze said. But windscreens will display UM's logo elsewhere, including stadium corners.

• In-stadium presentation: Some Dolphins items -- including the Honor Roll -- will be concealed during Canes games. The 400-level facade will be covered in a removable wrap featuring UM's Ring of Honor and acknowledgement of All-Americans, the national championship years and the 58-game home winning streak. ''The lower-bowl field walls will be wrapped in our colors,'' UM associate athletic director Jim Frevola said.

How many wins you think we get this year?

 

I'm gonna be bold and say 7, starting with Charleston Southern, and UF. I've already heard Meyer say something about sometimes we seem to have a good defense. I think they'll be underprepared. We need to come out strong. Nobody thinks we will be worth a damn this year. All the college mags have picked us to lose to UF, UCF, FSU, and VT. As long as that doesnt' happen, to me, I'll be just fine though.

 

I was also thinking around seven wins. Lose to FSU? For pete sakes, we beat them last year and this year we are LOADED with young talent.

 

I don't think that'll happen, I mean, we're in Miami this year, and we beat 'em at home last year. What a great game that was. I'm actually worried about UCF. They've talked so much **** about how great they are the last couple of years, and we didn't have to play them. Now, we're about at the same level as being a new talent. I hope we can shut them up.

 

Can't wait til the dominates again.

 

Hopefully that won't take long my friend. On the NFL Network, that had a show called, 'Top Ten NFL Factories. The U was at # 2, in front of Notre Dame, and behind the #1 spot of USC. Let's hope we can keep it there.

No worries, we have six Ist round draft picks in one season, more than any team in a year ever. We also have more first round picks in 4 years than any NCAA team. We're doing just fine. can't stop us. Nobody can.

Speaking of the 'Canes, just ordered 'Cane Mutiny' off of Amazon.

Not a fan of the football team, just curious to see sort of an insider look into the U, and the attitude which surrounds it.

 

Lol, I hear ya, I hope we both have some good seasons this year.

 

It's a great book, but if you're not a fan of the team, you might find it quite a bit more partial to the team than otherwise. Still a good read.

 

After next season that title will go to the Buckeyes!

 

Yeah, Ohio State has a good run of draft picks. According to The NFL Network, Ohio State has the #4 all time best drafts of any college. Followed by Notre Dame, The U, and USC. Apparently some Michigan Fans were upset by your ranking, lol.

 

That's all I'm looking for, so I'm sure I'll enjoy it.
