Peter White, St. John's College Prep
Chooses Maryland over the U.
Ditto. This is Patrick Johnson all over again.
Exactly, I hope Patrick Johnson or Peterson or prima donna or whatever in the hell he calls himself nowadays enjoys the extra benefits he received from LSU.
To be honest, the best CB out of the state last year so far has proven to be Jenkins for the Gators. To start and excel on the National Champs team as a true freshman?
Luther Robinson is in. Fears the Gators had flipped him can be laid to rest.
Miller will make it official in about 15 minutes.
Richardson? We'll have to wait til 1:30PM.
Corey White, Shayon Green and Jared Wheeler are in.
So far, so good. No defections but no surprises.
Tiller is still undecided (Rutgers, Syracuse, Miami) and may or may not sign today.
I really hope we land Richardson.
And yes I did let out a HUGE sigh of relief once Armstrong and Dye's papers were received.
Miller's papers are in.
I am hearing Billy Sanders switched back to us from UCLA, looking for confirmation.
Edit: Confirmed from Scout, Sanders is a Cane.
It's looking good so far!
Sanders is a nice get too.
I've said before and I'll say it again....
RS and Co. are RELENTLESS.
If we can pull in classes like this after going 12-13 the last 2 years - Imagine what we'll be able to do once we start winning again?!?!?
As Urban Meyer said - "You'd have to be outta your freakin mind to not come play for the Canes."
Well he said Gators - but you know what I mean.
If we get Richardson - I'll be doing naked cartwheels in my office the rest of the daay.
According to his mom - Tiller is going to sign with Syracuse.
Ok - looks like I won't be getting fired today because Richardson is 99% certainty to go to JUCO. He doesn't have the grades.
We stay on him and try and get him in next years class.
Massie picked Ole Miss, Saban probably broke his Blackberry after that one. Lol
Kayvon Webster decided to switch to USF and heads to the Bulls with the rest of his team mates.
Had a feeling that was going to happen. He practically fell in love with some of the players on his visit.
I am still very happy with this class and glad we did not use all of our Scholarships. We addressed our major needs in OL, Big RB, DL and DB. Although I think we could have used another CB in this class.
We can use the additional scholarships on what is shaping up to be a very, very good class coming out next year in South Florida. Miami Northwestern and St. Thomas Aquinas are loaded with talent especially.
Yeah I agree. We didn't suffer any major defections. One more CB would have been nice because we are thin there.
BB would be icing on the cake for this class.
Did you read where Hurtt said Ray Ray is up to 225lbs. I see another Sean Taylor with this kid.
Also Joe Tresey from Cinci could be our new DC as early as Friday...(rumor)
That would be bigger than nabbing Bryce Brown IMO. Very good D Cord.
He'd be a solid get.
I'm leery of BB. This Brian Butler guy just spells bad news.
Rivals = Meltdown right now.
I really don't understand the typical Miami fan. 5-7 followed 7-6 yet they expect EVERY 5 star kid to sign with us.
They need to go back and check out the top one hundred five star recruits over the last four or five years. For every stud there is a dud.
OMG you had to post that pic!!
They all want instant gratification and THE BIG NAME instead of focusing on the roster depth and actually letting a coach do his job like god forbid actually COACH.
Isnt that Wilie Williams?
Nice class. Not a tremendous one full of 5 star recruits but solid. Prince Kent and Jamal Reid are big gets. Prince is a guy that I think may play Safety eventually. A big frame but lacks the long speed from what I've heard. Plein's a kid who I've heard a lot about and everyone really likes him. McGee is a nice get as well.
That ones going to hurt a bit. He's a kid who could have lined up at OLB or any spot in the defensive backfield.
As you stated earlier - we didn't waste any scholarships by taking chances on kids that may not pan out. Ferman just echoed the same thing. We're going to need these scholarships next year in what everyone knows is a loaded year in Dade where's lets face it - since Randy has been in charge, we've gotten just about every kid we've gone after.
Booker T Washington
DE-Lyndan Trail Big DE, 6'7" 225LBS with nice speed
OL-Jose Jose Huge 6'2" 350lbs, played better at C than G, needs to drop 25 lbs but a mauler
OL-Torrian Wilson Nice OT with long arms
DL-Todd Chandler-Miami Commit
WR-Michael Lee Harris
St. Thomas Aquinas
RB Giovanni Bernard Under rated big RB
OL Brandon Linder One of the top rated OL for next year.
DB Cody Riggs
Thats just 3 feeder schools for Miami and I have not even mentioned Miami Central. The talent next year is insane so yeah, I am glad we did not over reach for non Miami kids this year.
No. 6 Class according to ESPN.
It includes Bryce Brown who at this point, I really don't care if he signs with us or not.
I don't know how they can include Bryce Brown when I just saw them on TV and Bryce Brown was listed as undecided.
He is a commitment that hasnt decommitted so.....
Jeez, make up your mind and sign a letter B.B.
Part of me feels that BB is waiting for the brown bag. And I mean Brian Butler not Bryce. Sad thing is he's giving the kid bad advice.
Miami is beating #6 Wake Forest 59-40 right now!
Canes winning 77-50 with a minute 17 to go
We gotta keep this up and win at least one of the next 2.
Clemson crushing Duke won't help. They'll be ready and focused on Saturday
Two DC Finalists are...
Dick Bumpas and Joe Tresey...
Now these are just two of the names being rumored. I would expect that if an offer does come - one of these guys will jump at it. If Dick is No. 1 on Randy's list - he better move quickly because L$U is said to be hot for him too. I'd prefer Tresey for the simple fact that if you watched any of the Bearcats games last year - they're a very good tackling team, a sore spot for us last season.
BTW - is it me or does Dick look like our old friend Howard?
Ha Ha, the resemblance is staggering.
