Naturally everyone is drawing parallels to Lesnar. This guys isn't as big, but he's plenty powerful. Also a collegiate wrestling champion. The fact that he trains in the altitude is great for him.

A whole lot of people are so focused on his gig as a professional wrestler they forget that he A) has collegiate wrestling experience and B) served time in the US Army, which automatically means that he has, at least, SOME hand-to-hand combat training.

you couldn't be more wrong about B. Serving in the army nets you about 2 silly moves that you learn in basic training......none of which would really help you all that much in a real fight.

Sapp's a little past his prime but he's still an animal. What I like about Lashley is he brings the same wild card athleticism to the heavywieght division that Lesnar does. Guys that big aren't normally as quick as these two are and they can cause huge problems for slower fighters.

prior to Hughes's last fight with GSP, and then his knee injury, i would have been totally confident that he would destroy Serra, too.
and i still think he will, but hey, who ever thought Serra would've KO's GSP?
i guess i am also factoring in the possibility of "Chuck Liddell Syndrome" on Hughes part.

last couple times i have tried to watch UFC or a WWE PPV on that site, i have gotten shut out. or the feed gets killed before the main events.

Because he was a pompous idiot when he was a coach. I actually cheered for him when he was a comp. on the show. But when he was a coach he was arrogant and disrespectful and it rubbed ALOT of people the wrong way. Kind of like Bisping is doing this yr. I lost alot of respect for him when he missed one of his fighters fight because "he overslept".
