Yeah just saw that in the Heat thread. Posted by KiNG. I think they're crazy if they don't take Beasley but what do I know?

Anything where the Knicks get rid of the fat albatross that is Eddy Cury I am in favor of. i dont care what the hell we get back as long as it expires soon, is young or is a draft pick. Ford would be a nice haul. I dont dislike Randolph nearly as much but if it makes sense I wouldnt mind seeing him go.
Derrick Rose Does everyone really think this guy is the answer. Personally I think people have totally overrated him, I just don't see it yet. Sure he has tons of potenial on both ends of the floor, but I not sure he is the next coming of Deron Williams or Chris Paul. Player 1 : 14.5 pts, 5.8 ast's, 3.5 rbs, 1.3 stls, .369% 3pt Player 2 : 14.9 pts, 4.7 ast's, 4.5 rbs, 1.2 stls, .337% 3pt Both players are projected as NBA PG's and have very similiar stats. Player 1 was in his 2nd year in a major basketball conference, Player 2 was a freshman who played in a 2nd tier conference. Player 2 is Derrick Rose's freshman season at Memphis. With such a great team around him and so many scoring options I thought Rose would have more assists, and he only had a 1.77 assist to TO ratio. Player 1 is AJ Price from Uconn and I am pretty sure he isn't in consideration for the #1 pick next year unless he plays out of his mind. Nbadraft.net has Price going in the 2nd round next year and I assume he will improve on last years stats, with almost everyone coming back at Uconn. I don't think Rose is a HR at all yet, especially if he goes to the Bulls and will be asked as the player to right the ship.
Good post. I love AJ Price. Very talented player and the only reason he will be a second round pick is because of his character. I think both are really good. As for the comparison, I am not really sure. Those numbers are very similar.
and Nesterovic. Larry Bird continues to ruin this franchise. Dear lord, I cant believe he gave up the best player on the team for the 17th pick. I mean honestly the other 2 players are throw ins. Ford like King has said in the past is one injury away from retirement. Nesterovic is meh...a body. That def. signals rebuild for the Pacers. O'neal, Bargnani and Bosh as the front three is a scary, scary thought. If O'neal can stay healthy and Parker and Calderon, this could be a sleeper team. here's the official story btw. http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/8283726?MSNHPHMA
Nah O'neal has been injury riddled these past couple years. It didn't work out with O'neal. this was more of a cap relief situation.
He was still the best player on the team, was my point. And I agree he has been, but its not like he's really had motivation to play.
O'Neil wont have to play as many minutes w/ Bargnani and Bosh (if they keep him) so maybe he can stay healthier. Kind of disappointed. I was hoping (perhaps unrealistically) that the Clippers could trade for Calderon, which now becomes pretty much impossible.
While O Neal was your best player you do have some guys in house who have shown ability to rebound and play good interior defense. granted none was the threat that O Neal was but inconsistent PG play from Tinsley, a mediocre offensive game even when hes healthy, and a bad jump shot, made getting Ford more of a need. At the same it gives you cap relief from an injury prone player who looks like hes an "old 30" with the injuries hes sustained. Ford - PG Dunleavy - SG Granger - SF Williams/Diogu - PF Murphy/Rasho/Harrison - PF Its not a bad mix at all IF you can keep ford healthy and I like the chances of that a lot better then keeping O neal healthy. Fords injuries have been unfortunate flukes, where as O Neals have been the result of wear and tear. Throw in the fact that the 11 and 17th picks can be used on bigs to further deepen the frontcourt and I like where Bird is taking this for Indy.
Was Yi that bad that Milwaukee wanted to give up on him already? Or does this have to do w/ him not really wanting to be there in the first place?
I think he played poorly because he was in Milwaukee. Personally Ive never liked when players gripe about being drafted by a particular franchise. I hated when Deion did it, hated it even more when Steve Francis did it. They came out with the better of this deal though. Ive always liked Richard Jefferson (when he's healthy)
Interesting deal. NJ has been desperate to add size to their line up for the last 2-3 years and dangling RJ was one way to get it done however its difficult to admire this trade when the guy they added plays a soft 4. Maybe a change of scenery will be good for Yi. Bobb simmons is merely cap fodder
The knicks want Mayo bad. Theyve been dangling lee and any other assets to either accumulate more picks or move up. Its been reported in every NY paper and newsstation that walsh only wants to move up not down.
Not entirely. Bron Bron is friends with Jay-z who happens to be a part Net owner. Not saying its set in stone but sometimes personal relationships are the motivation for moves especially in a clique league like the NBA.
JAY-Z has mentioned "brooklyn" about 6,897 times in his songs...but he doesn't live there....and he expects Bron Bron to move there?
They wouldnt have a say in the matter. His contract ends... he leaves. They cant force him to sign a new contract...
You're right they dont. But if they dont do everything humanly possible to keep him there they dont deserve him anyways.
possibility of sonics and clippers switiching picks though espn reporting (on tv) that sonics asking price is too high
