Didn't get to see the game, but a great win against the Denver Nuggets! They're a Western Conference powerhouse for sure.
Well, that sucked, we lost to the Spurs 112-100. I guess we've gotta lose once in awhile. We've got the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday, hopefully we can bounce back from this one. Go Magic!
Had a good time watching the Magic beat the Wizards 121-94 tonight. I'm hoping we'll be finishing off the season really strong. Four games left in the regular season. Next up are the Knicks on Friday, and the Cavaliers @ home on Sunday.
Sounds like the Cavs aren't going to play many of their starters on Sunday. And that Shaq won't be back for the game. Should be an easy win for you guys.
I'm saying right now before things get heated, that if the Cavs beat Orlando I'm pulling for LeBron in the Finals.
I would have done that before last season, but then we beat the Cavs in the playoffs. He is classless about not even shaking hands with the team that beat him. He lost my respect. And asked later, he didn't regret it one bit. It's one thing that he did it, but he did it against the Magic. I hope every player from every team that beats him runs up to shake his hand after every game. That guy has no sense of sportsmanship or class. You got beat, deal with it, and give respect to the guys that took you down. I hope to see that guy run off the court, riding piggyback on Shaq's back, whining about missing the NBA Championship after we take them down. And Shaq whining about his "S" insignia. JMO.
Good game vs the Cavs, but I was hoping for a bigger difference in the score considering Shaq and LeBron were wearing suits today. We split the series 2-2 with them this season, hopefully we can play them well in the playoffs. Gotta play in Indy tomorrow night, and then it's Philly @ home on Wednesday, and that's the end of the regular season. Let's Go Magic!
Magic and Mavericks are the only two teams to beat every team in the NBA this season. Orlando also finished without losing a season series to one single team. This means Orlando can (and has) beat any team in the league, in a game AND a series. A championship awaits.
too bad theres only 2 games left. best we can do is tie last years record. all i want is 16 post-season wins.
If CHA beats CHI, and BOS beats MIL tomorrow, then MIL and CHA are tied for the 6 and 7 seeds. Who wins that tie?
Magic finish the season with a win against Philly. 2nd best record in the NBA, single-season record for 3 pointers made @ 841. Gotta play 7th seed Charlotte this weekend. Let's get it done!
Charlotte's turned out to be a good team this year. Unfortunately for them we've also gotten better at the end of the year. Magic are playing better as a team than all season. I think keeping the starters in all the way to the end of the regular season helps out even more than for home court advantage. It gets everybody playing that much better together.
Tonights game was all kinds of fun. The refs were unreal with the one sided calls. They were on a mission to get dwight into foul trouble, and then went after Vince until he was fouled out. Yet Charlotte can body slam a Magic player and not even get a personal. Jump ball? Are you serious? I was impressed with Jameer (wore his jersey to the game). He was in double digits less than 6 minutes into the game. Dwight was great defensively until the refs took him out of the game. Offensively Dwight never got very many chances because of the Bobcat defense. But the outside guys did their job of making them pay. Decent game from Lewis. Just enough from Petrius. Carter played out of rhythm and without fire. Reddick made a few good ones. Barnes was invisible offensively. Gortat didn't do enough with Dwight out. It was a tough 2nd half to watch. After the Magic built a 22 point lead, the refs took over. It's no excuse for poor offensive execution, but losing Dwight changes they effectiveness of the Orlando offensive strategy. Lord knows how many free throws the Bobcats got to take in the last 20 minutes. They were at the line non-stop. Magic players couldn't breathe without a whistle being blown. End of the day it was a great first half, and a tough 2nd half; but still a win. I'm hoping for a sweep. I want the Magic to be waiting for a tired Atlanta team heading into the conference semifinals. I got pictures. Probably post some tomorrow.
According to ESPN News, Dwight Howard is to be named the NBA Defensive Player of the Year very soon......
ITS A SWEEP! Charlotte was a hard-nosed defensive team, definitely on the rise. Orlando, although not playing well, made it out without major injuries and swept the Bobcats in championship fashion! If Vince Carter can be more effective, and Dwight Howard can stay on the floor, it's going to be tough for teams to knock them out of the playoffs.
Great way to start the series against the Hawks, winning 114-71 tonight. I'm sure they'll make some adjustments, and every game won't be this easy. But right now, I'm going to enjoy it. GO MAGIC!
I was worried about the Magic having a long layover, but hot damn. No other words come to mind but GO MAGIC as well.
Cavs fan here. You guys are going to kill us. Going to take a ridiculous effort from our guys to make it a series.
Keys to the game imo, Jameer continues his stellar play, Reshard stays very aggressive on the offensive end, Howard stays out of foul trouble and continues to be a rebounding machine along with hitting his FT as well and finally Carter needs to play solid basketball and a highlight play wouldn't hurt either. Having said that..Let's go Magic let's go!!
