@ArmandoSalguero: Chris McCain, who also had an ankle injury, seems to be fine although he did not return to the game. (Nor should he).

Cedric Thompson's bad side has shown up tonight. Bad pursuit angles.

If Jeff Luc has any shot to make the team, he's got to process faster mentally and needs to get off blocks. He gets velcro'd too easily.

Pretty bad game for a lot of fringe or potential depth guys tonight .

Have to watch tomorrow for a better look and see who , if anyone flashed even a tiny bit .

If we Frankenstein all 3 of Moore, Bethel-Thompson and Freeman into one single QB we might, just might, get something decent out of it.

Vintage preseason outcome from a betting standpoint.

Dolphins came in favored by a point on the road against the Bears because in all likelihood they will be a better team in the regular season.

The problem? The starters only play like an eighth of the game! Even with the starters being about as lopsided as you get, the Dolphins only ran out to a 7-0 lead.

Then you've got McLeod Bethel-Thompson and Josh Freeman against the likes of Jimmy Clausen, a bunch of poor OL depth against some surprisingly deep and competent Bears front seven players, a veteran with skins on the wall like Jacquizz Rodgers going up against inexperienced backups, etc.

This was by all means a positive game for the Dolphins when it comes to looking at 2015...but the score won't show it. People think that makes preseason unpredictable. Not really, IMO.

Yup we got just about as good as it gets with the starters. That's all that really matters.

Can anyone provide some cliff notes from the game?

From what I've gathered so far...

    - Tannehill looked confident and sharp
    - OL played alright
    - Cam Wake is still Cam Wake
    - Jenkins looked good
    - Zach Vigil, my favorite of the three UDFA LB's was all over the field
    - Our LB corps took a hit (please let McCain be OK...)
    - Bobby McCain had a bunch of penalties?
    - Anthony Johnson did something or a bunch of somethings to draw ire from TP.com

How did the other RB's (besides Miller) look? Tony Lippett see any action? What about the backup safeties? Any and all information would be appreciated.

I was disappointed we need 4 downs to score in the RZ. In a real game, I fear we would have kicked.

Gillislee had a great run but fumbled it. Still had a better night than LaMichael James. Never have I seen so much opportunity squandered. Ajayi better get healthy fast. Will Davis had a few good plays but the one coverage play where he didn't get his head around concerns me. That probably gets called PI during the season. Bobby McCain played like vintage Davis, so I think Davis deserves to be above him on the depth chart for the next game.

In a real game... I don't think we run it on 3rd down and 4 in that spot. Just wanted to use that situation as good practice and evaluation...

Don't necessarily agree with that, I remember shaking my head after similar situations. I agree with Deerless. While it was nice to see the TD, wish it came on 3rd down because conservative Joe would have kicked in regular season.
