This is the game we've been waiting for...

A chance to shock the world and become a star team in the NFL..a star team with physical flare and offensive physical style thats never been seen before...

Ive been saying were a dangerous football team since we were 0 and 3, that there was NO WAY NO HOW, that we were going down like this, not after the offseason we had, not after lifting all those damn weights, not after 100 percent barbeque attendance{lol},there has to be a point where that stuff is gonna take over, have impact on our team, and become a tangible advantage against our opponents. At o and 3 i said lets give em 3 more games with henne, before we go GM'n on their azz....

Two victories later, were on the cusp of something special, two elements that have prohibited us from a better record, one, our defense has not been on the same page x's and o's wise, and 2, from not being on the same page, our defense has been dispassionate and unemotional.

Well, i believe that changes today and i'll tell ya why...Joey Porter.. i believe he's ready to make an emotional committment to a run at the whole thing ..now if our fans can understand that sense of urgency, and emotionally lift our defense, were gonna win this game.


Our fans have experienced to many letdowns in games like this before, we've paid our dues.......not today mother grabber.

Sadly, not anymore, WQAM no longer streams the games, once the Tony Sparano show is finished they go off the air until a half hour or so after the game.

Looking forward to the game today ... it's not a division (or even a conference game) but this should serve as a good gauge of where we are at against some of the elite teams in the NFL. If I was picking my Super Bowl contenders for the NFC it's New Orleans, Minnesota, and New York, in that order.

I'm personally looking at Ricky Williams to have a big day ... I like how our outside run game matches up against the NO DEs and OLBs, especially with Fujita out. That could mean a big game for the former Saint.

Its funny, i just heard Keith sims our local color analyst say that he took the bye to study the wildcat and why its sucessful, his conclusions were that Ronnie makes it special because of his vision and patience, the defense has no clue what hole hes gonna take it because that cant get a clue from the oline, is a decision that only one person knows......and that makes it dangerous and unstopable....

Whats hilarious to me, is that earlier this week, i heard mickey loomis { Saints GM} get tongue tied on radio, he had no clue..

I also heard an opinion that iam constantly losing respect for. Ron Jaworski...he said the secret to solving the wildcat is to follow the offensive line.....lol

 

Damn so any other streams out there. Last year I went to http://www.praise95.net/index.html but not sure if they are streaming this year.

 

95.7 changed their call letter to KLove.

Whether or not they still have radio streaming I do not know as this season I mostly use streaming TV broadcasts.

iirc, there are a couple of armed services radio streaming networks I'd google that and see what comes up.

Ginn on kick returns, Sheets screwed up by getting out of shape on SF's practice squad.

Tony Sparano does not play that ****, show up, in shape, bring pads, be ready to play or you will be cut or sat down.

Hey...maybe Clemons will return kicks?

Patrick Turner is rapidly turning into this year's Shawn Murphy.

Glad to see both Wake and Clemons active. Is Roth still on the PUP list for this game?

 

They have 3 weeks to activate Roth from the PUP.

Clemons on kick returns is intriguing VO..4.3 speed,

 

Introducing the 1982 and 1984 teams, right now the Killer B's are taking the stage.

 

Love the speed, but he's a bit of an unknown in terms of being able to hang onto the football, make defenders miss, and run with reckless abandon.

Now ... as a gunner on special teams ... well I think that could be something special to see.

 

Won't know until he has a chance though, could be why Sparano was coy about who was returning kicks today.

 

WQAM pre-game announced Kim Kardashian is on the orange carpet. Let's hope her big *** distracts reggie bush.

 

So Clemons is active? Interesting.

 

C'mon VO, we knew going into this he was a developmental project... He's still a rookie, not a 2nd or 3rd year player.

 

Can't hit on every draft pick now can we? That would alert the rest of the league to our FO's super powers.

Same here,the game should be entertaining. In regards to Clemons I can't wait to see what he brings in this game.

 

Which makes Chris Clemons being activated for this game all the more interesting, I happened to catch Hines Ward being interviewed and he mentioned that when he came into the NFL the first thing Cowher had him doing was straight up Special Teams work, things like Oklahoma Drills and learning how to be physical.

To me, that is both a test and a hurdle for Pat Turner, USC Wr have poor reps in the NFL and imho Sparano is forcing Turner to prove himself as a physical presence before he is ever a Wr...

I think that is a tough but brilliant strategy, no soft azz USC coddling, hit and be hit and fight before stepping onto the field.

Sparanofins is no place for softie twinkies.

 

I don't want to come off as overly pessimistic, but consider this:

We took Turner with the 82nd pick and Murphy with the 110th pick ... not that much of a difference in position really.

Third rounders should see the field by this point in time ... it'd be different if he was a fifth rounder (like Chris Clemons) or later. He was a first day pick. It's now 6 games into the season and we haven't even seen him active yet.

I'm also concerned with the recent trend of "big" USC WRs busting in the NFL. (See Williams, Mike or Jarrett, Dwayne).

Factor all this in and you have to feel like you're seeing the Murphy situation from last year.

Either way, here's hoping I'm wrong and we don't need him against the Saints today.

 

Greg C is returning to form VO, and in order to break the USC Wr bust factor Turner simply must learn how to play "big", most USC wr come into the NFL as boneless skinless chicken breasts, all meat, no work.

 

And caged at that, not free range chicken.
