    Tampa Adds Key Reserves

    [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
L to R: Hartsock, Pitts, Tollefson

After bringing in a number of high profile free agents early in the signing period, the Bucs haves shifted gears, making several key reserve signings.

On offense, the Bucs have continued to solidify their offensive line by signing Chester Pitts, formerly of the Houston Texans. With the line in flux, it is possible that Pitts may press for a starting position. At worst he provides veteran depth, having played both tackle and guard in his eight year career.

The Bucs also signed tight end Ben Hartsock. Hartsock is a former third round pick who is expected to primarily handle blocking duties from the tight end position, though he is underrated as a pass catcher as well.

Tampa Bay also quietly signed special teams standout Dave Tollefson to a deal reputedly worth the league minimum. Tollefson has been described as a "high motor guy" by coach Raheem Morris and is expected to give the Bucs more depth and energy at the defensive end position.

The jets have anoounce that Eugene Amano has come to terms and rounds out the starting o-line that was broken up for cap reasons. Amano will play LG next to Brick at LT and Hardwick at C. Brandom Moore will remain at RG and newly acquired Jeremy Trueblood will play RT. Mike McGlynn acquired in an earlier trade provides solid depth along with Matt Slauson and Robert Turner. The draft will round out the line.

The Steelers are thrilled to welcome one of the best guards in the league, Harvey Dahl, to the team giving us what we feel is the best offensive line in football with him, Andrew Whitworth, Nick Mangold, Max Starks, and Chris Kemoeatu.

We also would like to welcome two quarterbacks with upside who will compete for a backup job in John Beck and Brodie Croyle.

We'd also like to welcome and welcome back K Joe Nedney and P Daniel Sepulveda.

    Packers add 3 more

The Packers would like to announce the signing of three more players that will play a major role in their run to the Super Bowl.

We feel as though we have sure up our secondary by signing both Atari Bigby and Brodney Pool. Both safeties will join the already deep secondary to make one of the best defensive back units in the NFL.

We have also added another body to our already deep Offensive Line. Daryn Colledge (28) resigns with the Packers and will compete for the starting left guard spot.

The Packers continue to be big spenders in Free Agency with these signings cost just over 6 million.

Nope, actually NT for Cal State Poly. :knucks:
He was pretty successful there actually, even though he's pretty small to play the line.

He has played almost exclusively at the SAM for the Iggles.

The Steelers would like to welcome HB, Jerious Norwood. He's a guy that has shown when he gets the ball he can do big things with it. His career 5.3 yards per carry and 9.5 yards per catch echo that as does his production in the kick return game. We feel he will be an excellent compliment to Rashard Mendenhall.

The Seattle Seahawks have made several moves this free agency due to their significant amount of cap space. They've looked to shore up some of their needs by adding quality depth players as well as potential starters. The Seahawks signed OC Chris Spencer, OC Chris White, OG Cooper Carlisle, K Phil Dawson, FS James Butler, CB/S Mike Adams, FB Jeremi Johnson, DT's Chauncey Davis and Demetric Evans. The Seahawks are pleased with their acquisitions thus far but they are far from done evaluating and shaking up the roster.

    Tampa Continues Offseason Makeover

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
L to R: Washington, Jones, Babin, Golston, Muir, McIntosh

Tampa Bay continued their offseason makeover on Satuday, signing veterans Kelly Washington, Brandon Jones, Jason Babin, Kedric Golston, Daniel Muir, and Damion McIntosh to contracts.

Washington and Jones provide veteren depth at the wide receiver position. Washington emereged after two quiet seasons in New England to emerge as as surprising receiving threat for the New England Patriots. Jones is attempting to rebound from a disappointing 2009 campaign in which he caught only one pass.

Jason Babin, Kedric Golston, and Daniel Muir are expected to be a large part of Tampa Bay's defensive line rotation. Babin will be playing for his 5th team in 6 years, but showed signs of improvement as a Philadelphia Eagle last year. Golston was a key reserve for the Washington Redskins last season, but has started 30 games in his 4 year NFL career. Muir most recently was a member of the Indianapolis Colts, starting 10 games in 2009.

Damion McIntosh is expected to play a reserve role, and has starting experience at both left and right tackle.

When asked about the double-barrelled approach to free agency, GM Vengeful Odin was surprisingly frank. "I like all these guys, but they should know this is a competition. I'll be pretty shocked if everyone we've signed today is on the active roster at the end of training camp."
