yeah that's what I went to do before the game but yahoo wasn't working all morning so I was stuck with Eli who put up 2 damn points
Who would you guys start this week? Chris Ivory vs. Oakland or Matt Forte vs. 49ers Easiest choice is Forte. Talented workhorse, etc. But if Campbell starts he'll see 8 or 9 in the box I'm guessing. Even though Jackson gashed them a bit last week, 49ers still have a solid run D. Ivory, while splitting carries has been the hot hand and could run wild against a terrible Oakland run D. Any thoughts? Classic safe pick vs. high risk/reward pick.
Steven Jackson beat up that front 7, Forte could do the same. When the Saints aren't throwing they do a RB by committee....Ivory's run last week was nice, but don't let it blind you.
Tough. Freeman has been on fire of late, but Carolina oddly plays decent pass defense. If your league offers bonus points I'd go Dalton 100% due to his AJ Green rapport. Not to mention that once in the redzone? The Bengals like to keep throwing.
Need a flex play: Stephens Howling vs ATL Mark Ingram vs Oakland Andre Roberts vs ATL Danario Alexander vs Denver DeAngelo Williams vs TB Leaning towards Stephens Howling but open to other ideas....
Forte, high risk and all. Its not like Campbell is some unproven no talent scrub. He actually has been an ok QB at times and this is really the first time hes got any kind of decent cast around him
Cam Newton vs Tampa Bay or Tony Romo vs Cleveland. I was leaning towards Romo but their offensive line woes scare me. I am thinking about going Newton because I could see that being a shoot-out over the Dallas/Cleveland game.
With a hobbled Haden, I'd lean Romo. It's November wich is normally national Dallas month. Also I think the league has figured out how to play Cam Newton.
Yeah, really glad I opted to go with Forte. He could end up doing not much better than Ivory, but at least I still have a chance now. Need a monster game from him and Akers tonight.
I need to pick 3 out of the 4. This is not a PPR league. Miles Austin vs Washington Vincent Jackson vs Atlanta Victor Cruz vs Green Bay Andre Johnson @ Detroit I had been benching Andre Johnson the last few weeks (Victor Cruz was on a bye week though, good timing) before this week but after last week he could be turning it on late in the season...Miles Austin has slowed down a bit after a very solid, consistent first half of the season. Vincent Jackson was my #4 receiver in the beginning of the year before he proved I need to start him every week. It's not a bad problem to have but I'm very conflicted this week.
Tough, its between Austin and VJack obviously. And in that case id reluctantly go Austin, for the simple fact of having NO running game to handcuff his production. Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk 2
Id go Austin for 2 reasons: 1. I suspect Jackson will draw either Dunta Robinson or Grimes + safety help. Washingtons secondary conversely sucks. 2. Romo usually play ok on Thanksgiving
3 Questions: 1. Pick one to start: Romo vs Washington or Schaub @ Detroit - Leaning towards Schaub cause Romo has such a bust factor to him but open to ideas. 2. Pick one for WR 3: Danario Alexander vs Baltimore, Mike Wlliams vs ATL or Steve Smith @ Philly - Leaning towards red hot Alexander but of course the week I bench Smith he will go off. 3. Pick one for Flex: Leshoure vs Houston or Ronnie Hillman @ KC. - Initially I wasnt thinking Hillman was an option but Houston's D has been killer and Denver's offense is putting up 30+ every week. The downside to Hillman is Lance Ball is going to swipe carries and the game could be over by halftime... Basically, I win this and I get a playoff spot after coming back from the depths @ 1-4. Lucky me though i get the 2nd place team with the highest point total.
Romo. What if Houston gets a big lead? Also near the redzone the Texans actually run the ball. Yep go Danario. He isn't a flash in the pan, he is very very good (would be Phins #1). Hillman by a landslide IMO. GL on your quest to the playoffs.
Kinda figured you might say Alexander and I can go with Hillman. The same logic you employed to Schaub can be applied to Hillman so theres a double standard there imo. Romo scares the crap out of me in a must win spot....he could just as easily have 4TD as 4INT. With Schaub Im more likely just going to get a steady 225-250 and 2TD type game. After 4 different opinions Im tied at 2 on Romo vs Schaub. lol.
The Broncos will likely be in the redzone 6-7 times, also with a lead on a short week I doubt they have Manning throwing 40+ times unless needed. Wich with Brady Quinn starting I doubt this game is within 3 TDs .
Can say the same about Houston as you can with Denver. Detroit is better, especially offensively then KC but not so much so that Houston couldnt find themselves up 21 by the half. I know what Romo is capable of but I know what Schaub did last week. Still not sold on either one....leaning Schaub just for consistency and low stupidity/4int type game factor
I project both will play well, but Romo to score more. Schaub certainly isn't a bad play though. Just listen to brother Fin-O and go.. Romo Alexander Hillman.
Edelman is tearin' it up!.... 30 pts in the first half. Great move to whomever picked him up this week.
Romo came through with 38 points in that format. I was cursing like a sailor after Schaub had 250+ and 2TD/0Int and then romo had like 150 and 1 INT after 2 and a half quarters. Thank goodness he went nuts with garbage time points. Hopefully Hillman outdoes Leshoure's 15 points in that format. Lucky for me I have the Pats D dropping a 30 spot right now as well.
Even with 5 quarters Schaub couldn't out produce Romo. And Matt had an interception, and I thought just one TD? Unfortunatly in a league I'm fighting for a bye?? My opponent had Dez Bryant.
Andrew Luck in Indy against Buff or Andy Dalton in Cincy vrs Oak, which QB would you play in a ppr league?
Good problem to have. Gun to head I'm going Luck at home with basically no running game. But Dalton has a very good matchup.
I went with Luck today but Im really liking Dalton against the raiders secondary. I think he may be the better fantasy play. I better stop talking about this now because I will wind up switching it back to him lol. BTW I think I would play julio jones today. I think he is gonna have a good day
Should I start Pettegrew @ Indy (giving up the 6th fewest pts to TE) or Dallas Clark @ denver (giving up the 3rd most pts to TE) ? Pettegrew would be the safer choice and he is projected more but Clark has had some real good games so I don't know what to do. This is big week for me, major playoff implications. Also which 2 should I start out of these guys... Mike Williams @ Denver Brandon Lloyd @ Miami Brian Hartline @ New England
Cam Newton vs Kansas City Tony Romo vs Philadelphia Both are playing defenses that are giving up loads of fantasy points so it's tough to decide on which one to go with.
With no Murray, Romo will throw the ball at ton. Less talented defenses can do things schematically to limit Newtons ability, not really the case with Romo.
Romo vs Philly or Schaub vs Tennessee? Steve Smith vs KC or Danario Alexander vs Cincy? Leaning Schaub and Alexander....
I'm not sure I trust playing Romo against the Eagles' secondary the game following all this Philly turmoil (cutting of Babin). That defense is liable to come out like gangbusters. lol. I'd play it safe and go with Fig Newton & Schaub.
I'd be tempted to play the regression to the mean odds with Smith & Alexander and start Smith considering he's coming off 3 sub Steve Smith performances and Alexander is coming off 2 stud games in 3 weeks with defenses now perhaps giving him some more respect. But dont let me influence your gut, putzo. lol
Romo will throw 40 times at home vs a defeated team, Sham is on the road vs a bad team as well, but I wouldn't call Newton the "safe" play here.
Interesting post by this Toddsphins guy. Very keen this putz. I wanted to pick up Brown last week but someone beat me to the punch.
Newton's gonna end up running for 2 and throwing for 2 b/c he & Carolina feel a desperate need to make a statement, especially with that funny 6 year old kid looking to take his job and become his mom's favorite player.... and beating up badly on a bad KC team could be just that statement.
