And strouman is out six months
Jinder Mahal is the new WWE Champion.
And I'm happy about that.
If they play it right he is gonna have a nice heel run much like Kevin Owens did when he was universalchampion
I found his bacne distracting.
Edge and Christian have a new segment on their podcast where they have the participants in to break down a match and the first one they did was Mankind vs HBK, Mind Games. It's pretty phenomenal, the segment starts 36 minutes in and lasts for an hour.
Chris Jericho says if he returns it wont be for a long time, and he is not up for another long run like he just had. Also says it would not bother him one bit if he doesn't wrestle a match again.
Either he is trying to get more money out of Vince or he's ready for retirement from wrestling.
He is scheduled for appearances this summer. Lol
Looks like Dalton Castle may soon be joining the WWE. Very eccentric performer. I wonder how and/or if, he would have to change his persona within the corporate world of WWE. And if so, would that make him less fun to watch.
Pretty good MITB ppv.. smackdown brought it.. the only match i didnt enjoy (besides fandango and tyler breeze, i dont get it) was the Orton/Jinder mahal match... mostly because the match felt like a rerun of the first time they met a month ago, and when you think about it, it pretty much was a rerun.. randy orton started off fast, then he attacked the minions and then he got finished off.. prrtty lazy of them not bringing something new to their rematch.
That Orton/Jinder match could have been WAY better, with a simple story line tweak. All they had to do was talk up that it was Father's Day, in Randy's hometown where he was attempting to become a 14 time champion, in front of his father. And really talk him up to be the hometown hero coming back to triumph over the foreign heel, before failing and really transferring heat onto Jinder. They did it to an extent, but I feel they needed to do more of it upon the build up.
I thought the PPV was flat. Nothing horrendous, but nothing that made me think it was special, either.
Epic return by braun. Loved how they brought him in. Last time there was an ambulance match that i remember was brock vs big show? And that had highlights galore
Wwe reached two all time lows this month.. bayley this is your life segment, and the lavar ball segment yesterday... goodness
The saving grace is that everything else (enzo and cass, braun and reigns, samoa joe and brock) has been solid..
I dont follow TNA... but DeAngelo Williams looks legit.. explosive moves there..
DeAngelo is a MASSIVE wrestling fan, so his hard work and passion to learn it doesn't surprise me.
What DOES surprise me is that there are reports that he only trained for three days for this match.
If so, then he is a freak of nature.
He sounds like he is in it for the long haul... theyre paying him great money
So aj styles is the new us champion... won it on a house show and it looks like wwe will let it stick
That was probably the best PPV of the year.
Curt hawkins and heath slater stole the show
I know you are joking, but their psychology walking to the ring and selling that impromptu match was pretty spot on. I wish they hadn't missed the ending for the TV audience though. A simple split screen would have sufficed.
I enjoyed the ppv, just found it hilarious and at the same time kind of sad the position heath and hawkins were put in. Im sure they went backstaged and thought "this is bull****".. got like a minute of camera time, the entire audience were looking at the titantron.
Doubtful. Remember that this is all scripted. They knew their roles prior to going on air. They were probably happy to be on the show and earn a payday, to be honest.
Kay that jason jordan/kurt angle storyline is as lame as the idea by Bischoff in the 90s of making Paul White the son of Andre the Giant.. sorry but please kill this storyline fast
I don't know. People are complaining about it as being too "Attitude Era-esque", yet a lot of those same people wish the product was more adult and contemporary.
Kudos to the WWE for not even referencing Jordan's racial background. The key to this working (on some level) is to NOT make any jokes, points or comments about the fact that Kurt had a black girlfriend in college. It should be obvious and treated as such.
I am willing to see where this goes. Based on the interview that aired after RAW, I have a sneaking suspicion that this ends with Jordan turning on Angle down the road, which could be a lot of fun.
And at least Kurt fathered an actual person. Perhaps he can lend Mark Henry a hand in that department...
So the Great Khali returned today at the punjabi match, fatter than ever.
And randy orton is at a historic PPV losing streak. Losing to the same man three times. Jesus he is getting burried as if he were old. He's just a year older than finn balor...
I don't get wwe honestly. The tag match was the best thing about last night and it kicked off the entire show. Horrible ppv.
That aj styles and kevin owens finish was terrible. I hate those kinds of finishes... and it pretty much crapped on Aj Styles manhattan win. I know the goal is to get aj over at Summerslam but the madison square garden win had a special allure to it.
The entire ppv sucked. WWE is in a death spiral.
Cena and Roman Reigns are starting a feud on twitter
Smackdown's main event last night was better than anything on battleground....
And next week its Cena vs Nakamura for the #1 contendership. that's usually a payperview fight.
Wow, Cena had his guarding angel sitting right on his shoulders during yesterdays main event. The last move by Nakamura could have broke Cenas neck. It even looked like Cena temporarily lost feeling in his hands/arms.

I believe that was actually Cena demonstrating to the ref that he had feeling in his hands and legs. Somewhat of an unspoken rule with stuff like this. You need to show them that you are ok, not just verbalize it.
Nasty bump though.
It feels almost too obvious that nakamura will win at summerslam and corbin will cash in
So...Ric Flair might be the next one headed to the big ring in the sky.
Rumor is that he has been diagnosed with alcoholic cardiomyopathy, which, to put it in perspective, was the cause of death for my own father.
IF Ric recovers enough to go home AND changes his lifestyle completely, he can still have a quality couple of years. Something tells me he isn't changing much of anything, though.
Hearing now it was not heart related, could be colon related?
Well there goes the MITB contract, wasted chance by Corbin
Here is a recap of Summerslam so far
Rusev and Corbin have officially been burried.
Natalya is champion after a very meh match.
Enzo made it out of the cage by oiling himself down, just to get knocked out seconds later, useless moment and the match was stupid anyways.
Summerslam starts with an F.
Whats funny is the new day and usos have put up the best match so far today and their match was a dark match... the new day a dark match, really....
I hate when Finn puts on the war paint...
Dont get me wrong it looks cool and i was fine with it on nxt..
But Michael cole, corey graves, and Booker has turned that look into the corniest cringiest look in wrestling. Even cornier than Bayley with an im a hugger shirt..
Kay that main event was nice
Main event was awesome. I hated Strowman when he first came in the WWE, but man, they turned him around big time and made him an absolute monster!
I just knew roman would be the one to get pinned. He seems to be the guy who always raises his hand to volunteer while everyone else wants to be protected..
