I like the drafting Ingram and most of the rest. Im justno a huge fan of Palmer though. If we're going to abandon Henne I'd like it to be for someone other than Palmer or Orton honestly.

 

Not a fan of re-signing Ronnie Brown. He's got bad field vision, and you have to keep him on a pitch count or else he'll breakdown. Ronnie is just an average back, the Wildcat offense was able to mask his weaknesses until opposing defenses figured the Wildcat out.

 

Me niether let ronnie go and time to move on.

 

Where are the playmakers if we're trying to score, open up the offense, and potentially spread out the field?

A third (regardless of the year) for Palmer? I hope not. Palmer had two really good years - 05 and 06. That was a long time ago. If we're bringing Carson Palmer in I hope it's not for anything more than a 5th round pick.
I do not think Safety is much of a concern. We invested in some young guys through the draft, who I expect to get better.
I do agree that we need a stellar TE.
I also think we will look for a FB. As much as Polite is a fan favorite, he's a one trick pony. He's a monster on down and short. But not too much beyond that. His lead blocking is average. His pass catching skills are less than that.
I'm anxious to see what Kory Sheets can do once he's back.
As for the OL. I would hope the Jerry will be better after a season's worth of experience. I would also like to see Incognito back and at OC. It still leaves us needing an OG.

 

if we want to have any hopes of reaching a SB in the next 2 years - we better find another playmaker on D .... we can get by with an average improved O, but the D has to be lights out .......

 

Best of both worlds. We get Palmer and suck royally enough to get Luck next year! Not only that but get some quality and develop it at other positions of need in the mean time.

 

If we're stuck with our 1st, then those 3 would definitely give us playmakers at RB, TE, WR..... and we could add Bradshaw & another playmaking WR in FA. I don't see how we couldn't be night and day improved here. And adding our guy Tyrod Taylor in the 5th whom we're both enamored with. Not sure if he'll sway away from QB though. ?????

If Jernigan were there in the 3rd, I'd rather have him than Hendricks and worry about the TE in FA or 2012.

he better sway, he'd be stupid if he didn't.., just tell him he's gonna do it all, become the ultimate weapon, a new position the league has never seen, and mean it... and that should sway him...He's got to recognize how magnificent he is in space.

It could take him 3-4 years to learn the WR position, but IMO he has some stud potential there..... not to mention all the fun packages you could run with him on the field like you referenced. A creative OC could do a buttload with Tyrod Taylor, Greg Little (ex running back), Brandon Marshall, and Jernigan (who has also lined up at WC at Troy).

(Side note: that's a different buttload that KingMo is accustomed to)

A decent 2nd TE? We have a back up TE now....he's starting for us. We need a starter there. And at RB too.

 

I've been bashing this Carson thing all week, seemingly changing no opinions, so let me play along. I'm not mocking anyone; I just want to see where you're coming from.

How long do you (or any Palmer-supporters) expect Carson to play with us if acquired?
How long do you expect that to be as our starting quarterback?
How long do you expect him to remain healthy?
How many games do you expect him to win (roughly) in '11, '12 and beyond if you think he will be here longer?
