Apparently it wasn't enough to tell Turner to go away, we needed to tell him to go away quietly!
Now he had a lawyer release a 24 page report supporting how good of a guy he is and how he was unfairly victimized.
Funny part is the plan has already backfired.... the media is running with the story that this new report is proof he lied about the blowup doll during the original investigation.
In the new report he claims he gave MacDonald the doll because he didn't ask for Girls' numbers. (originally said he didn't remember giving a blowup doll gift)

Ex-Dolphins Oline coach Jim Turner, involved in last year's controversy, has issued report to counter Wells Report.

Seriously? You're sitting on the couch because you were the coach of the worst offensive line in football. Maybe that's why you don't have a job?
The fact your an unproffesional D bag on top of that, probably doesn't help matters either.

This literally has nothing to do with us. We don't need to read this, there's no compelling reason for us to read this, he's no longer employed by the team, and all of the main players are either gone, or All-Pro caliber. No need to plunge old ****.

Nobody really complained about Jim Turner's job performance prior to 2013. We did replace 4/5 starters for a reason... And really, what Jim Turner did wasn't that bad. in fact, the kid he did it to didn't mind the joke whatsoever. Andrew McDonald, was it? His biggest crime is lying to Wells. its easy to see why he did it given the microscope the media put on our team.

Nothing to do with us anymore, nothing to see, this is Jim Turner's problem now, and good riddance our offensive line always sucked under him.

From a friend/co-player it is all in good fun IMO. But he knew as a coach how bad that looked, and that's why he lied.
He was the fall guy, but he needed to go. -

I am just not going to give this story any further attention. Great for Jim Turner, glad he's trying to clear his name and I wish him all the success in the world, but this has absolutely NOTHING to do with the 2014 Miami Dolphins.

Was almost pleasantly surprised this thread had nothing to do with either Maynard, McLovin or FinD. Or any combination therof.

I feel bad for the guy. The oversensitivity nowadays is ridiculous.

I feel bad for him on a personal level, in that what I read did not lead me to believe that he is a bad person or someone who should be shunned by the football community. Andrew McDonald speaking out on his behalf spoke volumes to me. But I think the reason he is on his couch is that he wasn't a very good coach.

Jim Turner would've been fired by the Dolphins with or without the bullying scandal.

Actually, looking back at the timelines, we fired Turner after the Ted Wells report came out in late February.
Whereas, he should've been fired at the conclusion of our season along with Ireland. One of those things I think Philbin is guilty of. Basically being forced to fire this guy and Sherman.
