I wish the vids were of something other than a wizard though...

I'd like to see a knight slashing his way through those Orcs.

I didnt really notice any new RP elements either which makes me believe it is just WoW 2.0 like all the others and that is a downer.

Go here...kill that...bring back this...repeat...and pay a monthly fee...yay...meh for that I stick with my lvl 70 WoW characters (which I haven't used in a year).

For me that'll depend on how they balance the classes because I don't like the way WoW is.

 

I'll stick to playing Diablo 2 LOD thank you very much.

 

ALL MMORPGS are like the wow wasn't the first and wont be the last.
in DAoC for the longest times Assasins were the ost powerful classes
then they nerfed them some and made Friars like Healing Tanks.
Also Smite Clerics where as strong as wizards but wore Chain Mail so then they nerf that.


there will always be unblance. some games just do a better job of trying to level it out then others.

Mythic I think does a good job of it..

Nothing personal I just hate that turn base combat, I can handle it in some games but not MMO's.

 

Game's a disappointment.

 

Sure looks like it. The player attacks, enemy takes the hit, Enemy hits the player, player takes the hit.

 

It is not turned based combat

 

....... Wow then thats the slowest "action" combat EVER.

 

That maybe true, however that doesn't make it turned based.

It is more "timed" based action.

 

Even worst. Where is a fast action paced MMO? MMO's are too slow for my taste.

 

Age of Conan is supposed to be more fast action paced.

The new DC MMORPG is supposed to be much more like an action game than most MMOs.

City of Heroes, in my opinion is pretty faced paced.

Honestly when I have played MMORPGs solo they are pretty slow paced and boring. Get in the right group and go into an instance, it is actually hard to keep up

 

The big ones are slow and meant for the masses. I've worked for years for a small one called Neocron that was a mix of FPS and RPG stats. It's on the tail end though after 6 years + 1 1/2 years of beta. They are working on Black Prophecy now which will be more twitch based like their first one. Trailer available here:

Tabula Rasa is an extremely fast paced FPS/MMO hybrid. There are some great aspects about the game, but I will admit that after a while it loses it's luster like most MMORPG's. I've yet to play after my first free month but I may go back when they add in a Mech for each class as mounts.

So who's going to be in the Open Beta this weekend? Kinda sucks that it starts the same day the Dolphins go up against the Jets, but thank goodness I have my TV next to the computer.
