Recently discovered this and I'm pretty amazed that I've never heard of it before, given the many many positive effects and the simplicity of the procedure.

The website has a ton of links and info on it. Everything is pretty straight forward.
The basic idea is that the oil (I'm using organic refined sunflower oil) pulls out all the bacteria and other **** that accumulates in your mouth. It supposedly strengthens your teeth, gums, etc. and has a ****load of other benefits.
I'll be doing it every day for 20 mins. Today is Day 1 and I'll be recording my findings here.

Interesting, they are correct about cleaning the sink as you are basically using the oil to trap bacteria and then expelling it, plant oils also can turn rancid/.
For me, I've begun honey and vinegar, just liquify the honey in the microwave in a coffee cup, put a shot of white or apple cider vinegar in with it add water, and down it.

The one caveat is, do not mix it with that much water as the vinegar is very alkaline and could harm tooth enamel, so just down it like a shot of whiskey, which btw if one is used to taking shots of booze, you sort of get the same effect going down the hatch, a mild warm sensation all the way down...fun stuff. -
This is a little different though seeing as you're swishing it around for 20 mins and then spitting all the garbage out. Idk if I said it in the beginning but DO NOT SWALLOW it.
That's what she said. -
Funny thing about those oils, for example "omega 3"..uhm..cod liver oil is dirt cheap, same stuff...
I'll give the oil method stuff a try -
Thing is though, cod liver oil is just massively inexpensive, the pill form of fish oil costs 3x more
Olive oil...in 5 minutes!... -
Always oil up before pulling yourself.

- Honey does not "treat flu or sinus infections". It's much more likely it has an effect on symptoms and while your natural immune system clears out the virus or bacteria, there's a placebo effect where you think the honey is doing wonders.
- However, at least with honey, you can make the argument that there are ingredients that can actually become bioavailable for treating multiple maladies. With vinegar, not so much. While vinegar can have beneficial effects on areas within your mouth and throat, once it hits your stomach it hits an environment that is approximately 10 times more acidic than vinegar, the effect is mostly wiped out instantly. Vinegar is made up mostly of water with a little acetic acid. when it hits your gut, you get an initial spike of acetate in your system that only lasts a few (10-15) minutes before you end up peeing it all out. And I can tell you from an experience of many years in the infectious diseases area, you can not get a beneficial effect from something that shows such limited systemic exposure. -
Aright it's been a week and I have to say I'm impressed so far.
Like I said initially, my mouth feels a lot more dry and clean, my teeth look a shade whiter, and I've noticed that this gets rid of a lot of the **** that'll build up on your tongue.
Def keeping it going. -
As for the oil pulling, for me, that was a no go as the oil sort of made me wretch, would not dissuade anyone about trying it, will say this is not exactly scope you are swishing around your mouth, it is quite thick and viscous. -
That is viscous, not "vicious" ya want Jest fans to laugh at ya!?!?! -
Still trying this Slick?
I've stuck with the vinegar and honey and got down to 202 pds -

I gave it a try and I had the same experience as you did. The coconut oil almost made me throw up, and the thought of putting it in my mouth makes me feel nauseous.
It could be the fact that it works so good that all of the toxins it pulls out is too much for my mouth at once. -
30 minutes, jeez! how about like 5?
